Triple post ftw!

Edit - I think you were just to excited about potentially winning this round

lol yup! I meant to double post, and I was okay with that since I was quoting two different people, but then I misclicked and had a very n00b-like triple :-P

Rough week... 3-13-2...

WCFmo you can cast chamber on your opening turn on the draw agaisnt me, but it still isn't fast enough. Chalice at 1 doesn't stop me from casting rolling earthquake.

Edit: On the stack, the CmC is 1+x.

Actually, the CMC of Rolling Earthquake is 1 as far as I know, the CMC doesn't change on the stack. Just like you can go grab Engineered Explosives/Chalice of the Void w/ Trinket mage, as their CMC = 0.

Anyone else wanna chime in?

But I still think I lose that 2nd game

The converted mana cost is 1 everywhere EXCEPT the stack.

So, you can search for Chalice with Trinket Mage because in your deck, it has CMC = 0. You can return a Protean Hydra to the battlefield with Reveillark because in your graveyard, its CMC = 1. If someone plays Kozilek's Inquistion, they can make you discard Banefire because while it's in your hand, the CMC = 1. However, if you play Rolling Thunder for X = 4, Spell Snare can NOT be used to counter it, because while it is on the stack, the CMC = 6 (RR + X => 2 + 4 = 6).

Exactly.

WCFmo (not sure if you play legacy or not), it's how you can cast chalice of the void for x=1 or more even if there is a chalice already set at 0. It's sort of confusing, but the rulings they gave are correct. I just didn't go looking for the reason.

Still, as said before it doesn't race Omnath.

I think DD against WCFmo cause i could just edict his slith before the chalice gets its second counter then i could never play a mosquito after that and it would just be a draw. I think..

IDK mattw, you go play land, I play whatever (Chalice can't be at 2 counters yet) and you play a 1/1 flyer...you then edict my guy after I play him and I lose...I think.

Yeah, I was mistaken when it comes to the stack Nderdog should play if he's gonna quote the rules I was just trying to find a way to beat coinmagic...also, I think my score is off 2 points from nowhere - probably should be 38. I will post an official score Saturday/Sunday.
