What I think is scary is that they state they have checked with other online retailers and they are experiencing similar issues. gotta wonder if it is true and who they talk to... remember when T&T had great buy prices...

I still get timely payments from the others. Here's an idea. If you can't make the payouts, shut down the buylist for a couple days/weeks. It's called cash flow. You can't have more cash going out than coming in. And it's unfair to tell people this 2 months after they've sent in their product, and change the FAQs retroactively.

Pretty shady almost deceptive trade practices going on. Which I would report them for.

Card Kingdom pays out the fastest of all, with possibly the exception of T&T on this site. Few times I sold I was paid before shipment. CK seems to pay out within 1bus day of receiving.

Yeah I was pretty bummed to see that list go away/go to crap. I was hoping it was a sign of things to come where a lot of the dealers did the same thing (and were also as cool about it).

I too have had issues being paid by MTGfanatic, but I haven't sold to them in over 5 years. It seems they haven't improved. I can also vouch for the fact that they're super strict in grading things, and will often send a lot of things back at your expense. Kind of ends up making it not worth the extra money you make because you end up losing some in the end.

Just got this reply e-mail.

"I have contacted out warehouse and the item will be returned right away. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

President
MtgFanatic.com, Inc."

Let's see if they follow through, and how long it takes.

With the way some of these online retailers operate I wonder how they have stayed in business for as long as some have.

Because when people decide to cash out of MtG, they often don't have the motivation or the time to shop around for the best prices on their collection. Just consider the fact that most collections end up changing hands at a local game store for less than a third of the market value if you pieced out every card for singles.

This, seen plenty of 1k-10k collections get sold off for 200-500.00, that's a fairly good profit margin.
