Okay well that pretty much answered my question; everyone has their own preference.

One last question though:

How many lands do I get to play of I cast two foreign Explores?

Wow that's awesome. I have two sitting on my desk. They've been there for awhile. Did not notice that...

Because I have a german card that can either tap for black mana or be a 1/1 regenerating blocker.

You'd get 2 an Explore, so 4.

Just curious how a card like that would be played. Is it played as a drudge skeleton or played as a swamp because it's a swamp picture with drudge skeleton text in german?

It's whatever the cardname is. That's really the only thing that matters about a card, all the relevant text can be looked up in Oracle based on the cardname.

assuming you opened it in a limited pool? drudge skeleton
If you wanted to play it in a constructed format a judge would likely frown upon that.

It wouldn't be played at all, in any format. You'd be hard pressed to find a judge that would allow it.

EDH isn't a sanctioned Format. I should have clarified.
