ive seen and heard of dealers going overseas to china japan and the states to buy/sell n trade cards and making a profit out of it doing it full time. i know actually 2 guys from my country tht does this and they dont have a regular job. i asked them how do they profit from this and they always avoid my question like some major trade secret. can someone explain how this happens? i thought regulars players from all around the world use ebay completed auctions or popular price guide for trading. how is it this profitable?

The US dollar is worth nothing so the exchange rate is where they make their money. Also cards in general go for more over seas.

I'll agree that cards are probably more expensive overseas (as they certainly seem to be in Europe). But the exchange rate thing doesn't make sense to me, I don't understand what you mean by USD is worth nothing (unless you're implying it's worthless because it's fiat, in which case all the Asian currencies are too?)

Booster pack prices are also more overseas so therefore individual cards will also be worth more.
