Nice idea.

A real intelligent chinese fake printer associate will change strategy to be among the first to mail in cards for trade in sensible quantities of 1 playset of each copy.

With the massive influx of trading in occurring, I am sure WOTC quality control will be bad, especially if they decide to rope in temp staff to handle this (which is likely) instead of experienced MTG old hands, and a fake trader can easily trade in his "old fake" for a "new confirmed real" stuff.

WOTC will only know the problem when they realised that the number being traded in outnumbered the original print run and I will assure you that WOTC will try to keep this a secret.

The blacklight idea is interesting, though then we'd all need to add portable blacklights the the junk already rolling about our gamebags.

Serializing wouldn't need to give away any information at all if done right. Just don't make the results searchable by card name and the like so that the data can't be compiled.
