It has easily been 5-10 years since I was last on this website, but I have recently become interested in investing in pre-modern cards (4th edition through the Onslaught block).

I am wondering if anyone that is still here knows of any stores in Virginia routinely had any of these prior to COVID temporarily or permanently closing businesses due to isolation orders (Think 2019-era). I really want to wait until this pandemic chaos clears up, but am just looking for general information.

Prior to the pandemic, I usually used to go to Fun-N-Games, but was probably the only person there that had much in the way of pre-modern cards to make most of a deck with. Although I live an hour away from Star City Games, I never heard of them having any premodern tournaments.

I know one guy that is big into Pre-modern and he plays mainly in online webcam tourneys. It's a very niche format and he's never been able to find a regular playgroup, despite living in a major metro area with access to a number of LGS options.

About the only thing I am seeing for premodern is commander play. Local shop I play at has pretty good commander following to where I have been helping to supply the shop with some $100+ singles that people are looking for.
