So I get him in the mindset where he thinks he's already won, so when he passes the turn, he doesn't tap any of my stuff during my upkeep. I proceed to Upheavel/Tog him because he didn't tap down my mana, and I win.

Heh that was still cool.

I remember when Sui/Hatred was running rampant in tournies, there was this one guy who was matched up against me. I was playing Sligh.

It was my opponent's turn, and I was down to 11 life. I had no creatures in play, one card in hand and all my lands were tapped out. He had one creature (a Dauthi Slayer if I remember correctly) in play without the summoning sickness. He draws a card, smiles and rituals out a Hatred on his shadow. He had more life than me, so I was certain that it was game over for me. Nevertheless, I still had my game face on. I asked him sternly, "Hatred for how much?" at the same time holding on to two tapped mountains. He hesitates, thinking I might have a Fireblast in hand when in reality, I had a mountain. I asked again, "Hatred for how much?", and he said, "Umm, Hatred for one...". I smirked and took the three damage from the shadow and proceeded to win the game.

Ahh, the memories...

Back when we were talking about wandering eye, why not just play a Telepathy? Its harder to get rid of, you can drop it on turn one, and only your opponents reveal their hands. More on topic, bluffing works fantastically, especially with tutors.

Example: I was at my local tournie last week and was play U/B/W. My opponent was playing Mono Black and was at 15 life. I was at 4. On the board, I had 6 lands and a Zuran Orb. He had a bunch of creatures and a gloom. I drew a demonic tutor, and I was holding a plains. I cursed loudly, moaning about how I just lost badly. I proceeded to demonic tutor, and searched for a Balance. I stuck the card into my hand and threw down the land. My opponent though I had tutored for a land, and just laughed. At this point, there are only 5 turns left. Next, I tap all my lands and sac everything to Zuran. He thinks I'm just gonna cave, but I play balance. My opponent losses it and goes balistic! I was up to 16 life, and he couldn't raise his total in the last couple of turns. I ended up winning! It was great.

My favorite bluff methods all involve land...

When they play their 1cc test-creature to see if you're going to counter, tap two Islands, or even better, and Island and a painland, start looking on your die like you're going to take the point... then stop, look at the creature, and change your mind...

The two mountains and Fireblast trick is great too... as is seperating two lone islands from the rest of your tapped lands, then passing the turn with a smile.

More then once early in the game I've attacked my opponent with a 2/2 while he had another 2/2. Sence he is a yearling in magic he is kinda emotionaly attached to his little creatures. I ask him "Are you sure you wanna block?"

He doesn't block and a Hatered.

I found this very funny one time when I was playing against one of me less intelligent friends. I was playing angry Hermit and he was playing UG madness. I was about to loose because I couldnt draw tutor, reanimate or exhume and the krosan rec wasnt going to buy enough time as he bounced my hermie a few times and I knew from a duress that he had counter and bounce in hand. He finally taps all but one mana so i activate hermit, and then tap 2 mana and say "i exhume for the win" even though I had no exhume but he scooped before checking if it was exhume. HAHA fool

Then i told him.

Note: I know there are a few flaws with the way that was played from the way I typed it but I dont remember exactly what happened. Thats what happened in the end anyway.

I guess that can be considered bluffing
