I sent first to a guy last year to a new guy with 0 refs. Everything worked out fine. $100 deal too.

Pretty much everyone on this site knows how I feel about people stating that we mods will abuse our power because we just don't like someone, or don't like what someone has to say. If we did that, we wouldn't have much of a membership left So, I won't go into my, as always, highly emotional speech about the job that we do and how we do it. I'll just say that you disappoint me and leave it at that.


If you're going to swear, don't use ASCII. Let the auto censor catch it. By the way, hell isn't censored.

No one on this site has 10k refs. Not even close. The highest ref count is about 1500 and is held by Slinga.

As other people have said, it's entirely based on each person's opinion on what they are comfortable with. I've had people ask for me to send first, and I did so quite willingly and I have 3x the refs you have and am also fairly well known on this site. Hell, I've sent Power first before.

It works both ways as well, if you're not comfortable with a situation, decline and move on.

Remember, there are also alternatives to sending first/simo-sending. You can also do a third party trade, where both of you are covered and neither one of you are technically sending first.

Please try to remember that, even though we're mods on this site, we're people too. People are fallible and occasionally say things we may not mean, or say them in a way that we didn't mean for them to be taken. We have opinions just as any other person and just because we disagree with someone else's, doesn't mean we're out to "get" them.

I'm sure one or two other people have had quite different results than this. I personally would not recommend this strategy. But that's me...

Jaz, my comment (about mods banning) was said when nder and Jun were both being highly condescending (I wasn't being much better, admittedly) and I responded in kind; my apologies for the insinuation.

I don't think I've traded in like forever.

For sales, the buyer gets his money and then ships as long as they are reputable. Pretty simple stuff.
