Last couple Summer Trops I've seen have sold between 14-16k .
I thought Jace russian foil was 4-5k , and unsure Lili's are worth.
But still A all the way.

Seems like every post in this section recently is regarding russian foil Jace's  I would much rather the summer Tropical Island.

I'd much rather have the Summer Trop, but I have heard of RU Foil Jaces selling for $10k+ and Lilis at $3k+. So we are talking $16kish.edit: Just talking to someone knowledgeable, they sold a Lili at $3.7k and the last Summer drop was closer to $12k. So its not as easy as it sounds.

Even if there's a discrepancy in price right now, I still think I would take the Summer Trop in this trade. The Russian foils, as I said in an earlier thread, are just a perfect storm right now of value. Jace & Lily are a reprint/obsolescence away from taking a big hit. I ask you this: Under what scenario does Summer Trop drop in value but Russian foil Jace and Lily hold or climb? Putin invading all of Europe and forcing everyone to only play with Russian cards?

I'd rather have the Summer Trop too, but I mean if you can sell the Russian foils for $16k (and yes those prices have been achieved multiple times) and buy a Mint Summer Trop for $8k (which was low but still), then anyone who takes the Trop is throwing away like $5k.

Of course if those numbers are correct then you're right, apart from Coasterdude's entirely valid objection.If you're someone who wants either side of this enough to actually buy it, though, you have to think that the foils are actually out there if you put the money up. If the Jace is $8000, as a nice round number, you can probably get four of them if you have $35,000 and a couple months to look for them. I would venture that if you were the lucky guy who bought that Tropical Island, you probably could not pick up the other three by throwing the offer of another $30,000 out there. __________________
