Did you and Nderwife ever tie the knot?

If no, do you want to some day?

If yes, are you happy?

Favorite deck you've ever owned/played for a constructed event?

Member you most wish you could ban arbitrarily?

Well, there is a reason her username is Nderwife and not Ndergirlfriend. We will celebrate our 11th anniversary on 11-11-11, though that honestly was not planned. We are very happy!

My favorite deck I've played for a real event was probably my Jinxed Idol deck. It wasn't the best I've played, but lots of fun, with stuff like Mitotic Slime and Roc Eggs for chump blockers and those times when I needed to pop a Day of Judgment or All is Dust, Squadron Hawks to find buddies, and Elixir of Immortality to recyle them, all kinds of stuff! One of the few decks I've played that isn't aggro. My current decks are "let's get this done so I can watch Netflix until the next round" style.

I haven't been around all that much lately, so hard to pick someone that I'd arbitrarily ban who hasn't already met an (un?)timely demise.

I seem to remember a stretch of a month or two where we didn't see you at all a couple of years ago, purportedly because you needed a break from MOTL. Has something like that played into why we haven't seen you that much? What have you been up to?

Based on any trailers you might have seen, what is your opinion of the Green Lantern movie?

Nderwife rarely posts on here anymore. How is she (I'm asking you since she's not listed as an interviewee)?

So...you seem like a fairly straight-laced fellow. This is by no means a bad thing, but let me ask you...have you ever done anything you truly regret? If so, what? And why? I know that's a fairly below the belt question, so feel free to ignore it if you want, but I like to get to the heart of things.

Holy! The odds of that happening by chance is roughly equal to the odds of finding a non-lesbian at a women's rights rally.

1) Is Nderwife a good magic player?
2) Why do you think I never sign up for these interviews? ("who cares" is an acceptable answer)
3) If the world blows up on October 21, do you think you'll make the cut?
4) Do you still wear personalized overalls?
5) Why are you so sexy?
6) Why does People magazine come out with "The sexiest man alive." Is it really necessary to exclude dead people?
7) Do fish get thirsty?

3. What would you like to do right now that is just outside of your reach because of one thing (money, people, other resources)?

Easy man, lay off the piercing personal questions! This is an interview, not an interrogation!

1) top three favorite musicians/bands, and why?

2) top three favorite television shows, and why? and why (if the answer is Firefly, the "why" part can obviously be skipped )

3) top three favorite films, and why?

4) top 3 favorite novels, and why?

5) can you describe that pig-catching contest you mentioned years ago? It's been awhile and I doubt most of the current crop of regulars remember

No, this latest absence has just been due to my having a hard time dealing with my grandfather's death. It's the first time that I've lost someone that I was really close to, and someone that I've probably seen more days than not in my life. I'm just finally starting to get around to feeling a bit sociable again.

I really have no opinion. I gave up on comic book movies long ago, and don't ever see them anymore.

She's doing very well. She started a new job in January and is really enjoying it. I'll see if I can get her to do an interview this round.

Hmm. Hard to pick a favorite, really. Probably one of the prolific rippers. Although I often joke about enjoying it, most bannings really are not fun at all.

Favorite card is of course the Gruul Nderdog, I mean Nodorog.

I'm a programmer/analyst for Tillamook County, so I'm living off of taxpayers.

When not playing Magic, I'm usually playing D&D or watching movies.

All-time favorite varies with my mood. Top 5 probably would be Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Star Wars (I'll just call the whole series one movie, even if it's cheating), Time Bandits, Kevin Smith movies (again, cheating, but it's my interview, I'll do what I want!) and the Blues Brothers...ask me in a couple days, and it'll probably change a bit!

Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention...

Yeah, she's fairly good. We ended up facing off in the finals of the last Game Day, and she usually comes in ahead of me in the prerelease and release events.

Because you have secrets, man. Dark dark secrets!

I doubt it.

I haven't worn overalls since I was like 8. I assume that you mean this though, and yes, it's still part of my regular work shirt rotation.

I'm just lucky that way.

Well, there are some dead sexy ghosts, I'm sure!

Absolutely. For vodka.

Because I still believe that WotC just typo'd the name and they were supposed to be Gruul Nderdogs.

Be excellent to each other. Really, that's about it. One of the saddest things I see around here is how much in-fighting and snarkiness abounds around here at times. I understand that some people don't get along with others, but it's better to just ignore them that to egg them on.

When I was getting started online (back in those days before we had things like web browsers and the World Wide Web (yes, I just dated myself) I got tired of being underdog13410384901859018, so I dropped the U and have been able to get that name most of the places that I sign up.

Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff.

Probably dropping out of the Naval Academy.

I'd love to travel to all of those places that I want to go, but know that it will be a few years before we can afford to do it properly.

I'd like to see more games, and people getting along better in those games.

I have a knack for making things up and backing those statements up with completely believeable and logical reasoning. sometimes it really bugs Nderwife when I do it to mess with her.

I know I have more questions to answer still, but I am about to be late for work, so I'll catch up later!

Hmm...let's go with being discarded. At least the other 2 ways he had a chance!

Boxer-briefs, of course!

"And then Buffy staked Edward. The end."

No, because he'd be a fish, not a boy.

GP Portland was the only major event I've played in. Didn't win a single match (and if I remember right, I don't think I even won a single game.)

No children, unless you count a dog and 2 cats.

I don't really know of any real comeback stories. I've had close games, but I can't think of any times when I've turned a loss into a win.

Beef is always an excellent choice. I love my red meat!

Nope, usually peanut butter, because it tastes better.

Pears are delicious, 'nuff said.

Pearl Jam, Weezer and Weird Al. Just groups that I grew up with that I was drawn to for some reason.

Firefly (obvious), Big Bang Theory (geek humor, and I can relate in a way to all of them) and Psych (barely edging out Monk, only because it's still on the air, because both are hilarious).

See above for favorite films, most are ones that I loved at an early age and can't really put into words now.

The Dune series (Herbert was amazing at coming up with completely new worlds and environments and making them feel like home), Terry Brooks' Shannara series, because I grew up reading them and love his work and anything Tom Clancy, I blame my days at the Naval Academy and in the Marines.

Ahh, the Pig-N-Fords! Take a half-dozen stripped-down model-T Fords and line them up. Have the drivers line up across the track from a set of pens. When the race starts, they all run to the pens, tuck a live pig under one arm, run to their car, crank-start it, and drive a lap. Shut off the car, drop the pig into the pen (gently!) and grab another. Re-crank the car, another lap, another exchange, another lap. It's far more fun than it sounds, and draws some of the biggest crowds at the fair. It's been featured on the Daily Show and is known around the world.

Once again, I have to run, so I'll catch the rest of the questions later. Thanks for asking them, and hope you all can come up with even more!

Hmm... "Have you ever killed someone?" No, just kidding. I'm not really sure that there are any questions that I wouldn't want to be asked, as that's what these are for.

I don't know about that one. Not sure if you mean in real life or on MOTL or what, so I'll assume you mean MOTL. Leshrac, because with out him, none of us would be here. The other mods, because I know that they do a lot for all of us and put up with a lot.

I'm somewhat religious, but not the church-every-Sunday or even, as my aunt calls them, a CEO (Christmas and Easter Only).

Pro life.

Your karma is between +infinity and -5.
Actually, you're fine in the karma department.

I do enjoy cooking from time to time, and even have my own apron ("Come to the dark side. We have cookies.") I make a pretty good shepherd's pie, a decent frito pie, a couple different baked chicken options, stuff like that. During the holidays I can be talked into making some banana bread as well.

It's coming along slowly but surely. It's a bit disorganized at the moment, but I hope to fix that and get back into trading again at some point in the near future. It's a project that I never really expect to finish, but it's fun to put some time in and watch the number of completed playsets grow. I'm not too far away from my 10,000th completed playset. I suspect that I need about 50 more playsets, but I won't know for sure until I finish dealing with this stack of 500 or so cards staring at me.

The last song that I'm sure of is Code Monkey by Jonathan Coulton, but mainly because that's my ringtone. I usually listen to Pandora, so I can't really say what the last song I heard was.

Leshrac would be at the top of my list, then I can work my way from there.

My dog's name is Naughtius Maximus, but usually he's behaving so we just call him Max. It would be too confusing for all involved if we called him nder or any variation thereof.

Yes please!

Yes, please?

Sure!

Apparently, I say Go Dredn, but I have no idea who that is.

I've never been charged for any crime. I have been ordered to the ground by a policeman with a drawn weapon, but that's a story for another day. (Gee, I just wonder if someone will ask a followup to this one.)

Definitely not. I hate foils, and they are only good for using to trade for cards I do want. Except for foil Gruul Nodorogs, but those are a special exception.
