Sound to me like they think there is a product being sold _ (miracle grow deck) - when in reality it is merely a slang term or jargon for a style of deck used to play the game. Perhaps you could drop them an e-mail to ask.I don't know much on the subject, but it seems a bit retarded. -D

I say wing 'em back a letter notifying them of your father copyrighting the name "Miracle Grow" back in 1950 for a deck of playing cards. Then tell them to cork it before you press charges. __________________ No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.AIM Handle:SURFNSKI4REAL King Woopywoopy of the Penguin Clan NaimOfNone [3:56 PM]: And I want to have your children.

It's ridiculous, unless they think you know what they put in their "miracle-gro" and it's not green cards.
I think they (lawyers) do this stuff to make it look like they're saving their clients money. ie-> "Hey guys, We just stopped a trademark infringement that could have potentially cost you several million dollars! Aren't you glad you have us working for you for only a few hundred grand a year?" BTW- I'm not sure but I don't think trade marks are enforced internationally, so if the american company only had the trade mark registered in America, I could go and post something about a deck called Miracle Gro and they couldn't touch me... Because I'm in Canada! But I could be wrong... so I'll shut up before I get sued now.

I guess companies have to be anal since Xerox let the name slip into the domain of free use. __________________ "All men make mistakes. Wow, this is why lawyers have such a bad name...I guess I'm fortunate wizards hasn't decided me using card titles/art for informational purposes is against the rules.

If it were me, I'd just let them do whatever they're gonaa do about it. If they want to take you to court, let them. When the judge sees the case, s/he'll probably laugh them out of court for being so stupid. Or else just counter with the fact that you weren't the first one to call it that.

Imagine what would happen when this is taken to court and the Judge plays Magic. Miracle Grow to be exact . That would be sweet.__________________ 6:66 Satans Child

Does WotC put names on their Worlds decks that they release? It'd be interesting to see what would happen if one of those decks had been named Miracle Gro and then released with that name.

Yep, Torpex something or other, but I'm sure it's under some sort of copyright/patent. Hell, it also stands for Turner network Television. THEY MUST have that under some such law.

Funny We would have to be making $$$ off of the name "Miracle Grow" if they were to have any grounds for a lawsuit. No this is not true. They can say we are de-valuing the name. Aka, making the name worth less by using on other stuff. People COULD get in trouble for this, read the read of the thread.
