5th edition counterspell is the best counterspell.

I know I mentioned it somewhere before, but it would be cool to bring back some old artists to do tokens. Phil Foglio, Richard Kane Ferguson, etc.

Just about anything by rk Post, Quinton Hoover, Rebecca Guay, both Phil & Kaja Foglio...too many to name...

Specific cards are the same, there are lots of them I love the art on. A few that I'd consider 'favorites' though are:

Vesuvan Doppleganger
Thorn Elemental (both versions, though Urza's Destiny art is better imho)
Avatar of Woe
Damnation
Wurmcoil Engine
Rukh Egg
Kabal Ghoul
Konda's Banner (in foil)

Card art was the reason I got into this game in the first place.

Hey, at least it's a good necro.

I can't keep up with all of the newer artists, there are so many now... at least compared to like, back in earlier 2000s.

Someday I'll be able to make use of the artists signing thread on the forums here. Looking forward to it

My fav has to be Terese Nielsen. I collected a bunch of random cards of hers that just sit in a binder cause I like them. I was tempted to buy essence warden when it was for sale, but by time i got the money it had sold. Kinda regret that still (obv). I think my favorite piece would have to be ertai, cause hes a pimp. After that its likely guru lands, I play w/ them for a reason.
