I'll also add another work around to the list:If you are using Firefox 4 there's an add-on called "IE Tab" which can switch the rendering engine for individual tabs to Internet Explorer (where the problem doesn't exist) I'm pretty sure THIS is the right one. Now, whenever you're in the PM section, just right-click anywhere and go to "View Page in IE Tab Plus" and pick "Switch Rendering Engine" It'll reload the page as if it were in Internet Explorer and you're good to go. Also, in the general options for the add-on you can set it so that it always renders your PM page as if it were in IE. In Firefox go to Tools -> IE Tab Plus Options -> Click the "Sites Filter" tab and enter "http://forums.magictraders.com/privateview.cgi" in the box (without the " " marks) and click "Add".

Afaik my fix has worked for everybody who has tried it. What CubFan81 posted should work as well, but I haven't personally done it so I can't be sure. If he's tried and it worked for him it should work for everybody though.

I am having a different problem in IE9: Clicking on someones "PM" button normally launches a new windows with a PM with your credentials, the target member, and a "RE: " + (Insert members H/W Name Here). For me in IE9 the new page launches but nothing ever gets rendered. If I go to my inbox and type out a new message from scratch it works. Anyone else having this issue or is it isolated to my little world?

Seems to be a few people needing this more often. Since we can't sticky, I'll bump it.

Also, quick update for those on Firefox and using the IE Tab add-on as a work around. The old Add-on that worked for Firefox 3.X and earlier doesn't work for Firefox 4 and newer. If you've upgraded your Firefox the updated IE Tab 2 Add-on can be gotten HERE.It works for me on Firefox 6.

I came up with a Chrome Extension to fix PM'ing. It's small and doesn't rely on the IE extension at all. You can install it here:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ifpggdgeoadjfmiiodildbcmigccingn Magic Traders has enabled the development of http://blacklotusproject.com/ so I want to pass on goodwill. If you try out the extension let me know if it gives you trouble.

I ported the Chrome plugin I wrote to Firefox. Both versions of the extension fix the form on the private message page to make it work like normal again.Chrome Private Messaging Fix Extension Firefox Private Messaging Fix Add-on If something's busted leave a message here or comment on the extension pages.
