Starting residency in half a month, meaning I will literally have no life after then. I plan to play as much magic as possible in the the interim. Still not sure if I should sell my collection.

I was thinking about selling my collection when i get my own house to, i can get 15,000 to 20,000. But then what will i do with my time? I would probably end up selling house to rebuy everything.

I was recently involved in a transaction where I sold $100 of cards to someone who claimed they never received the package, filed a claim with paypal which resulted in a reverse of the funds from my paypal account. Is there any surefire thing I can do to prevent something like this from happening in the future. I see sellers sometimes make it clear that they're not responsible for any lost packages or mail. If I were to instate some rule like this how would I use it to my benefit to protect myself in a future transaction similar to the one I've presented here. I'm a bit shaken and hesitant to sell anything now that this has happened. Any advice would be appreciated.

The only way to prevent this is to use tracking when sending. Not responsible clauses don't impress PayPal much, and are strictly against Ebay's rules. While they work fine for MOTL's purposes, that won't really help you get the money back. In other news, that was a successful Game Day. Another T4 for me, and between Nderwife and I, we came away with 7 Staggershocks, 2 Deathless Angels, 2 Emrakul, 2 Lord of Shatterskull Pass, 2 Curse of Wizardry, and one each of Kor Firewalker, Vampire Nighthawk and Pathrazer of Ulamog, then also got a RoE deckbox and 5 packs total. Not bad for $20, I don't think. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Report rules violations. I tied for first with a Naya deck playing vengevine. Played 2 Black/Red Control decks (including the guy who won Missouri regionals --> http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=32899 Nothing is funnier than dumping 2 Vengivines to a turn 3 Blightening then dropping Bloodbraid into a Knight of the Reliquary and swinging for 11 on turn 4 with 2 Vengivines and the Bloodbraid Forgot to bring my Pithing Needles in case someone played Superfriends, but I never had to worry about it.

So, my friends and I started having a Magic Night. We've really just gotten back in touch with each other, and that's what we used to all do, ya know? So, one of my friends owns his own store so he made me and Jenn decks (and gave them to us). Wow, I haven't played in like 5-6 years, what an experience! He made me a green/white landfall deck. Except it's not really a very good deck. He gave me some nice cards though, and I'm very grateful. (two WoG, 4 STP..) Now I'm finding I want to make it better, but, dangit, I agreed with Tom that my going to these nights, didn't mean I could start up buying again. (i might be able to sneak in a couple bucks here and there though, shhhh ) I do have SOME cards left over, so I thought about starting up a h/w list again, but, I'm still so out of the scene, I wouldn't know WHAT to look for (And I'm not even sure anymore if the cards I have desirable). Plus, playing against Dave AND winning, is near impossible. Just like the old days, heh. And all those planewalkers he has makes it twice as hard. Stupid 21/21 creatures with trample coming at ya! Oh, by the way, they can't be destroyed (Sorry WoG). Jenn plays an Ally deck, and I'm really beginning to hate them too. Oh how I missed all the fun! Obviously the solution is to get your fellow residents to play Magic. If not, trade in your cards for more Legacy stuff and keep your fingers crossed that they keep going up in value.

12 Gideons and 15 Jaces in the top 8, looks like their prices are going to continue to climb.

Played an FNM...Time to sell the rest of my collection. I had the option of Magic or seeing Cheap Trick, and I made the wrong decision. I no longer enjoy playing magic.

You should draft. It's way more fun than constructed.

It was a draft. Even if it was free it would have felt like a waste of my time.

Gideon was as high as $65 at a table and Jace was as high as $75 Vengevine got pretty pricy as well after Friday night seein gas the #1 deck played was that crap Naya deck during the last chance GPT's. To start the day off Vengevine was like buy $30-35 from dealers...I don't know what they were selling for but every both had a sign with like....Buy Vengevines - $30-35, Gideon $40-45, Jace $62 was the highest I saw. Thanos called me friday during the day when he first got there and I believe he said Jace was as high as buy $70 at the dealers tables since nobody had any. Pretty friggin unreal if you ask me, last two sets producing $60+ cards right off the bat.

It's going to be a problem seeing as those cards are not niche cards but staples that will be necessary in multiple archetypes for the next year+.

Play Legacy. Apparently, $60 staples aren't that expensive anymore.

Oblivion ring is 30 cents and can take care of planeswalkers or nearly anything else. I'm building a green/white deck with wrath of gods as well. I have dauntless escorts (these are cheap too) and indestructible creatures to survive the wog. And rancor and weatherseed treefolk return to your hand. If you were able to get two more wraths that would be great - between them, your oblivion rings, and your 4 stp his big tramplers should be no problem.
