My LGS told me three weeks ago that I couldn't preorder Elspeth vs. Tezzeret, because they didn't know how many they'd get. The owner told me he'd be selling the first five at MSRP, then the rest at $30.

I show up at opening, and they're opening the cases. The owner isn't there, but his wife is. She says the EvT are selling at $30.

I bought it anyway. I wasn't sure if Target or Wal-Mart would have them by the time I got there. Should I be looking at this like I overpayed, or should I be happy that I've got one?

30 is ok. You could get it cheaper, but a lot of places sell it for that price so its not out of the ordinary.

I just bought mine for 19.95 here at our local card shop.
He has 3 more and I am thinking about buying them and holding on to them for future sales. Is this a smart move or will they not be worth re-selling?
He told me he is not getting anymore after those sell.

Yeah, I picked mine up for MSRP. I could have bought another since they had a 2 unit limit. I really only need it for cube. I have no interest for any type of future value or anything.

MSRP or less, it's very good. I wouldn't pay more than $25 though.

Just go to WalMart if you want to pick up a ton at MSRP.

That's what I've done for every DD so far.

I got mine from my lcs for msrp. Walmart, target and meijers will have them on the shelves soon for that also. If you don't have one of those around then it's a fair price.

All depends how many walmarts/targets you have in your city. I think we have 10-12 walmarts in my city, and atleast 6/7 targets. I dont even know how many neiborhood walmarts we have, and they carry all the duel decks to. I never have a problem finding these things in stock.

I can pick mine up for $25, or possibly lower if the local Wal Marts + Targets get them and keep them in stock. I wouldn't pay more than $25, though. And if you do get extras, I would definetly hold on to them for the future.

I went to a Walmart and asked the people there. Apparently, they have a vendor for trading card who comes in on Tuesday (dunno if he/she comes in on other day as well) and restocked the products. So check back today!!

Yep, I managed to catch our local trading card person hitting the local Wal-mart today. They set out a display box of 6 duel decks, and I went right behind them and picked the box up.

i work at the wal mart here and check the boxes all the vendor's stuff comes in and we got 8 of the duel decks yesterday. 25.97 or something like that. Might just hide one in the storeroom till payday.
