Recently a number of foil Power Nine proxies (and some other cards, like Force of Will, Mishra's Workshop, etc) have been turning up on ebay. They look like the original Power 9, though some have new cardfaces and some may have different pictures, but these are foil, and were made by the sellers. I am NOT referring to the Gamingetc P9; those are different.

These cards are all illegal. They infringe on Wizards of the Coasts's copyrights and trademarks. MOTL could be sued by Wizards if people are dealing in these on here and we don't put an immediate stop to it. For that reason, dealing in any of these fake "proxy" cards on MOTL is strictly forbidden. If I see anyone dealing in them or even talking about them in a way that supports their trade/sale on MOTL, I will delete that post and issue the poster a karma smack. If I catch them doing it again, I will ban them. This is NOT something I want to see on MOTL. It has always been against the rules, and will always be against the rules.

Shouldn't this be true of all foils created in such a manner?

It sounds like by the 1st statement that the gamingetc P9s are allowed? If that is the case, does anyone have a link? curious to see what it looks like.

Save your cash and just get the real thing. A foil P9 has got to be the most disgusting card i have ever seen.

Does this include any card that is not tournament legal such as gold bordered world champion cards?

Yea I recently noticed a sale list advertising this kind of thing in the topic. I was going to flare the topic, but I'm not the flaring type. Foil Power nine are horrible. People who buy them are like the people who buy fake Gucchi bags only to have them break five minutes later and people who make foil power nine are like the people who make fake Gucchi bags, they run off with the cash like a small bird with a stolen nut.

I don't know, but they normally don't really exist on ebay, and suddenly there are zillions everywhere. World champs cards and such are WotC products and are legal. These items are not.
