Im a random european dude, who will be traveling to San Diego soon. And i figured it would be a good time to pick some singles and boosters boxes, since they are all insanely overpriced in my country (25%VAT etc). Any MOTLers from there? Anyone know stores who carry singles at reasonable prices? og any motlers who would sell me stuff face2face? thnx!

im from san diego and we have a pretty healthy magic scene. Standard, legacy, booster draft, etc. are all played here weekly. As far as stores go i would recommendartifex entertainment (mira mesa) game empire (clairemont) sky high comics (temecula) I would say these three stores are the big 3, but there are other hole in the wall shops here and there.

legacy is held weekly at artifex and i think bi-weekly at game empire. as far as boxes go, none of them sell very cheap. finding a booster in san diego for less than $4 is hard. The best deals on pax/boxes are at frank n' sons in l.a which is a big show held by collectors of all sorts including magic.

Online, never in a B&M store.

Hey there. I don't have a storefront but have a handful of legacy singles if you need any. As for booster boxes, it's tough to find a place that will sell anything in quantity to you. I'd suggest artifex for packs though since they would most likely have the best case price if you pay in cash.

Too bad your itinerary didn't include the SF Bay area. I could definitely hook you up with a vast array of legacy cards (duals and the like).Oh well...good luck in SOCAL....Majic
