I am just getting back into Magic with my wife, and I was wondering. Most of my collection is of the Ravnica, and Mirrodin series's. Are any of these cards still tournament legal? My favorite deck is an Artifact deck that breeds powerful creatures very quickly with spells that make them invincible to harmful effects. I had an artifact card that made artifacts untargetable by spells and effects. Is this still possible? My other favorite deck was a white life gain, red burn deck, Most of my white cards were life gain cards with a few angels thrown in, and I had several red creatures as well, but my main method of taking the opponent out with direct target spells. I was able to gain around 5 - 10 life per turn at around turn 5. Any of this fun stuff still possible? If not is there anyway to get close to this? Thanks

It's not likely that much of it will be legal, but a handful of cards might have been reprinted enough times to still be around in Standard. You'd need to be more specific about which cards, though. You could go to gatherer.wizards.com and look up every card in Standard. You can scroll quickly and just see which cards have multiple expansion symbols, and if any of those match yours.

Which tourney type do you play? Check here: http://www.magic-league.com/guide/formats.php

Not sure, I used to just play with a bunch of friends in my college student center. I have since graduated and moved away so I am looking to make new friends in my area. I'm guessing I would probably have more fun with Extended though.

Ravnica and Mirrodin aren't even extended legal anymore. You're looking at Legacy-legal sets for the most part, minus the cards that may have been reprinted. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

It depends entirely where you live. I can go to a 40+ person legacy event at least every other week. __________________

and I could drive 8 hours once every 3 months or so to get to one. Yah, west coast (specifically OR) sucks for legacy.
