I know many of you use the site deckcheck.net. I just found out today that the site will be shut down on October 22 and was wondering if anyone knows of a good alternative to the site? Thanks.

well.... essentialmagic is pretty good (there's a pro player deck section and such).... but nothing can be as good as deckcheck.net , it's already down at this moment (tried to see what the heck was do the wave deck... found it somewhere else and it blows lol).It sucks that websites like this will have to be shut down, but it's also really good for local stores that have a hardtime competing with event organizers such as maro (the ottawa guy) who makes tons of cash without owning a store. I'm happy for the owners of Multizone (in Gatineau), the WPN will be huge here

The website's not being shut down because it is being required to shut down, the website's being shut down because the owner decided he wanted to shut down.

http://www.mtgpulse.com seems to be the best alternative atm. Its a releatively new site so it doesn't contain that much information on older formats, but its wiki based so everybody can add events. Imo it could prove to be much better then deckcheck when more ppl start using it.

mtgpulse is garbage. I've heard rumors in a couple of IRC channels that someone has already copied the entire deckcheck database and will be preparing a similar site shortly after deckcheck shuts down.

Hi, I’m one of the developer of www.deckcheck.org and I know my English is crap. We are two developers and a lot more which insert new and old decks. We are using the biggest part of the old deckcheck (30.000 of 38.000 decks) and especially in legacy just a few decks are missing. Since the beginning of the project we insert over 500 decks manually and over 2000 with scripts. We know the site is not really perfect, but we do a lot to improve the site. If you have criticism or suggestions for improvement, tell us please! Or if you have new or old decklists which are not insert, send us please! Only your feedback allows us to improve the site. Please help us! Contact: ICQ: 464592802 Email: contact@deckcheck.org

It's a little easter egg. He is at all sites we have developed private. No chance to remove him! He is jumping since 2001 for us! :P

Easter eggs are usually hidden. Being the only thing w/ any motion on the whole page sort of draws you to him. Hide him on some "about this site" page or something. or just dont animate him.

I've been using http://www.thecouncil.es/tcdecks/ and deckcheck.org looks very promising as well.

Hi guys, we was the last days a bit budy, but we both passed our exames, so dont be angry with us! :P We have a lot of time in the next weeks to improve the website. We have published the "meta overview" at our website now. I hope u will like it and give us feedback to improve it. I guess the potential is really, really big. We have also updated a lot of new decks and in the next days all parts of the site will be up to date. We fixed a lot of bugs and some design mistakes. Feedback would be nice! And thank you all for the visits and using us! Fab

I already made a separate thread for this, but I'll post it here again:Me and some people from the German MTG-Forum decided to create a new website that would pick things up where DeckCheck left off and serve as a replacement.
You can find our new deck database at http://deckbase.net/! DeckBase has a various advanced features that you might recognize from DeckCheck, as well as several new things. Over time, we hope to expand the website even further, so we are happy to hear any suggestions you might have. For example, DeckBase is integrated with DeckStats.net, which allows you to easily get advanced statistics on any deck you see. It also automatically identifies similar decks, can display a deck list as card scans and automatically generate proxies for a deck. To make sure what happened to DeckCheck won't happen to DeckBase, we also decided to publish our content under a CC license, which ensures that decks won't get lost due to licensing/copyright issues if the site should ever be shut down. By the way, this is also the reason why we didn't copy any content from DeckCheck, since we didn't want to start off the website on shaky legal ground. Because DeckBase is so new, we are also looking for volunteers to help us with finding new decks, as well as checking and publishing decks submitted by visitors. If you would like to work in our team, please send a message with some details on your tournament experience to me! If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to post here, send me a message, our use our feedback page!
