4-Card Blind (4CB) is a very unique game.
The rules are as follows:

* Your deck is composed of 4 cards, all of which start in your hand.
* You have no library (technically, the library exists, but starts at 0 cards) and no sideboard (Wishes fetch nothing).
* Random effects always go against the owner of the card.
* You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
* You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
* You will play each opponent twice, once going first, once going second.
* For each win, you score 3.
* For each draw, you score 1.
* For each loss, you get nothing.
* A subgame played with the card Shahrazad will result in an incomplete game and both players will receive ZERO points, since the main game cannot be resumed. Neither player loses or draws, so neither player earns any points.
* Other than the aforementioned, EVERYTHING IS HANDLED EXACTLY LIKE A REAL GAME OF MAGIC!
Remember, it is important for your deck to include a way to cast your cards! (Lands, artifact mana, pitch cards, etc.)
If you want to play PM me a message in this format.
Subject should include "Vanishing 4-Card Blind" (Just click on the little PM icon above my post and it should work out that way.)
Card #1
Card #2
Card #3
Card #4
Be sure you really are happy with your deck before you submit. Once you send in a deck, there is no changing it except in the case of an illegal entry.
Please make every effort to spell your card names correctly. It makes it easier for everyone. Thanks.
The "Vanishing" part is the twist. To start off with, only Unglued, Unhinged and Ante cards are banned. After each round, the 4 cards in the winning deck plus any cards in more than 1/3 of the decks played will be banned for all future rounds. Any lands that only provide mana are exempted from the banning rules.

--------------End of Banning list--------------

I will try and post a new round every Monday, allow submissions through Wednesday, reveal deck lists first thing on Thursday and review results posted over the weekend.

NO MISE DECKS!

Any deck submitted MUST have some win condition. Any deck that can do no better than a draw against any possible deck will be rejected. A deck that can't win any game is mathematically eliminated from winning the round, and thus would just be taking a chance to win away from someone who could actually have a shot.

ALL players will assist in judging. The way this will work is that after the submission period is over, After all decks are revealed, judge your own deck against every other deck (going first and going second). Post your findings here in this thread. They will be reviewed by everyone for accuracy. Once a winner is determined the winners deck will be added to the banned list and the next round will begin. Repeated failure to do your own scoring will result in suspensions!

The decklists have been posted.

You may use other formats as well, but this one is a must. Also PLEASE make sure you use the proper deck

number for your deck. Replace the '?' on the bottom line with the number next to your name on the

decklist.

Scoring:

Play your deck against each other deck twice, once with you going first, once with them going first.

Always remember that each deck is to be played perfectly.

For each of the 2 games, score 3 points if your deck wins or 1 point if the game is a draw, with no

points for a loss.

Some examples:
2 wins (WW) is 6 points.
A win and a draw (WD) is 4 points.
A win and a loss (WL) is 3 points.
2 draws (DD) is 2 points.
A draw and a loss (DL) is 1 point.
2 losses (LL) is 0 points.

Plug YOUR deck number into the ? below the ##, and your score against each deck into the other slots.

Do not play your deck against itself. Just enter an 'x' in the chart under your deck number.

Please copy-and-paste the following code into your Message box in order to assist you with scoring:

1. Magic1264 WW. I Exhume Akroma and she both attacks and blocks, so he can't attack. He's not fast enough to finish me off before I turn 3 Exhume. Oona's Prowler can even buy me a turn by blocking a Giant if I need.

2. yakusoku XX

3. NumotFlame96 WW.

On the draw:

Numot: Ancient Tomb, Mana Vault, Mana Vault, Wurmcoil
yaku: PeatBog
Numot: take 2, attack (14-22)
yaku: Oona's Prowler
Numot: take 2, attack (8-26)
yaku: Exhume, attack with Prowler, Akroma (8-17)
Numot: take 2, attack, I block with Akroma, he gets two guys (8-15)
yaku: attack with Prowler, Akroma (8-6)
Numot: take 2, attack with both, I block the Lifelink one with Akroma, take 3 (5-4)
yaku: attack with Prowler, Akroma, win (or his own Mana Vaults kill him)

On the draw, I'm in even better shape.

4. MAB_Rapper WW. On the play, he can't Vindicate my land in time to stop Exhume and loses to Akroma. On the draw, he can Vindicate my land, but loses the race to Oona's Prowler.

5. junichi LL. Mana Tithe stops Oona's Prowler and I can Exhume it after he counters Oona's Prowler, but I can't race Baneslayer Angel.

6. Absurd90 WW. I play Oona's Prowler and keep Exhume and Akroma. If he sacrifices Mindlash Sliver, I discard Akroma, Exhume it and win. If he doesn't, I race his Sliver with Oona's Prowler.

7. coinmagic45 WW. Loyal Sentry doesn't stop flyers. Knight of Sursi doesn't stop Akroma.

8. WCFmo LL. On the draw, he can Crack the Earth making me lose my only land while he has a token. On the play, I can sacrifice Oona's Prowler when he plays turn 2 Crack and Exhume on my turn, but I lose my Peat Bog to do so and Crack #2 makes me lose Akroma.

Against NumotFlame96, have you included the damage he takes per turn from his mana vault?

I think this plays out differently. He doesn't attack. He doesn't Vindicate either Sentry; he saves Vindicate for Knight of Sursi and keeps Treetop Village to block. You can't attack or you lose your creatures. He can't attack, or he loses his only creature, so the two of you stare forever.

Yes, he'll take 2 damage per turn from his Vaults. Unfortunately, I'm trying to race him at 4 damage per turn while he's hitting me for 3, and he has a head start...

Perhaps you were thinking of Duskrider Peregrine or Riftmarked Knight, which both have Suspend and protection from black. Riftmarked Knight doesn't have flying and Duskrider Peregrine doesn't have Flanking.

on the play, i cast wurm coil turn 1. he casts sentry1. i attack he blocks, i gain 6 life, and get 2 tokens. he casts sentry2. i attack, hit for 3, and lose a token. he suspends knight, and i get to hit for 3 for 3 turns hitting for a total of 12 leaving him at 8 when knight comes in. knight blocks, my dude becomes a 2/2 from flanking, we both die, and start at eachother until i lose to my own mana vaults.

Actually, flanking's rules are:

“Flanking” means “Whenever this creature becomes blocked by a creature without flanking, the blocking creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn.”

Unlike Bushido, which triggers when block or blocking, flanking only works when my creature becomes blocked. Unfortunately that means that your guy survives...

Yup, was definitely thinking of the Peregrine...

MAB, we DD against each other. See my new explanation. You Vindicate my non-pro-black Knight...

@WCFmo I believe is DD against me. You can't kill me unless you crack the earth to make a token. In that case, I won't play a land until you cast CTE, then drop my lands and win with a BSA. The correct play for both of us is to sit there and stare at each other till we fossilize.
