So I am going to build a Tezzeret Infect deck.(Type 2)Using the {-1} ability to make smaller infect creatures 5/5 infect creatures or Darksteel Axes 5/5 indestructible creatures. Examples: Plague Myr Necropede Vector Asp Are these ideas viable? I also want to add some proliferate to the mix. Contagion Clasp Fuel for the Cause Any more suggestions? What are you going to use Tezz 2.0 for? If you're not going to use him, please visit here. I look forward to hearing your ideas. ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

If I get one tonight I'll be using it as a trade chip, so you may be getting an offer later tonight. I'm on the fence on whether it will get any competitive use. I guess you could try a U/B Proliferate Control deck? Turn Chalice and junk into 5/5's and beat down. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts T-97th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

Tez is tearing up the tables at Paris, apparently. Matignon played it, Juza 5-0'ed with it, etc.

Matignon deck is quite amazing. The sideboard is meh, but the main deck is awesome.

Think the non infect/proliferate versions are better for good reason. When this guy is winning he is probably going to win whether you are poisoning them or swinging for the full 20. Not playing infect guys gives you artifacts that are actually useful when they aren't smashing for 5. Also, I think the ultimate is a lot better than it appears.

Juza made a massive 16 drain life on his opponent with a non-infect/proliferate tezzeret deck. The magnet/prism/everflowing chalice are all good, kuldotha forgemaster is also really good

GRrrr.... can't seem to find it, it's based around Kuldotha Battlemaster (or something like that, the 3/5 creature that fetches artifacts ).

Forgemaster. ~MM Edit: He used Tezz's ability with a Myr Battlespher in play to chunk some life away. __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

Meh...one deck out of 8 is playing Tezz. 4 Decks have Sword of Feast and Famine main and 1 has it sb. I know I know...it's only a 1 of but it appearing in more decks. Also Mirran Crusader has a strong showing in 3 decks. I'll reserve judgment on Tezz until it wins. Until then I'll rate it a good card in a lower Teir-1 deck. I wont rush out to buy my playset just yet, not to mention Jace, TMS and Gideon are still showing their dominance in the format.....seems like U/W is still just better than U/B control.

Only 3 people played Tezzeret. 2 went 5-0 on day one. 1 made top 8. Compare that to 67 people playing Caw-Go and 3 making top 8 or 15 playing UW Control and 1 making top 8.

I think the real story is Squadron Hawk. 28 out of a max 32 copies in the top8. Ancestral Recall, even when it costs 1W, is still broken. :P__________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? If not for his first ability in part of having to put cards on the bottom of your library I would say, at least for me, that depending upon what you playing against that he would be better than Jace 2. in vintage. Bold statement I know but Lim Duls' Vault, Juzam, Drain Life seem better than Precognition, Brainstorm, Unsummon, and for lack of a card name "In five turns, plus however many cards in your hand counted as turns left 'till EoG".

The new Tezzeret may possibly be better than Jace in Vintage, but it isn't better than the old Tezzeret aside from turning Moxen into 5/5's. The old Tezzeret just does the same things more effectively. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts T-97th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

You people realize that they could have had average Constructed records and had amazing draft ones and T8'd and have to play their decks?I want to see what actual Constructed decks went undefeated. A Valakut could have gone X-0 and its pilot could have 0-X the limited portion. EDIT: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/eventcoverage/ptpar11/decklists/topstandard

it took the last pro tour I think it was? Kibler won or T8 with it or something a while back. There seem to have been some major improvements made with the addition of powerful equipments.
