I was played this in a tournament last night and it is useful against every deck. Every black deck has them in it. So I was wondering why not black play this maindeck instead of sideboard? It may not be a win card but it makes your other cards work so much better.

Pretty sure its only good in vintage

It's only advantage over Memoricide is that it can get Valakut. It doesn't belong in the maindeck for reasons already specified.

i've been trying to kick in at fnm, its game over when i can. but usually i'm one mana away most games.

Hehe. I had a good memomry with Sacrament and Extirpate.

This was in an Extended PTQ last season, when Thopter Depths was all the rage. I was playing BG Smallpox.

His 2nd turn, he played Hexmage with a Dark Depths out already. 3rd turn I played Smallpox , he just sacrificed the Hexmage to it. I Extirpate Hexmage with my last mana. Next turn, he missed a landrop and played Confidant. I then played Sacrament and removed his Swords and Thopters. His face was priceless.
