Merely a curiosity of mine, I guess, but I've been buying/trading/selling for going on 10 years now and I've literally never shipped cards to Mexico. That is, until the past month, and I've had 4 orders from Mexico. Anyone else noticing a trend here, or is it complete coincidence? I always like to kinda stay on top of the market so to speak, so I thought I'd ask! __________________ Ebay User ID: PortlisX (1400+ pos Feedback) My Current Ebay Auctions

They've been playing MtG for a loong time now. Bigger cities like Monterrey have Huge events, and PTQs as well. pre-releases with 100+ attendees, etc.It doesn't surprise me that someone is actually trying 'trading online for cards'.

Oh, I guess you didn't hear about the Great Mexican war of 2011. They took everything east of the Mississippi.

More like they are trying to figure out how to lace the cards with crack and weed and then "not" smuggle that back into the US.

Why would anybody ever want to go to Mexico? If you live there, get out. If you want to go on Vacation, anywhere else is better. Getting shot is bad.

I took this as a racist comment when I read it. I hope you didn't mean it that way. __________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Logout Mottle Salvation- a new place to play Mafia and WW

Not unless you're Pedro Quintero and rip cards for a living. Edit:: I also find it funny that you chose to quote my comment as racist, among the rest of the posts on the thread. I meant no disrespect if it came across as racist. I'm far from it

Pedro Quintero? Is that the moron who claimed that he ''Accidently'' (yeah right!) took a deck from a store clerk while he (the clerk) was closing the store?I laughted so hard when he claimed it was an accident... DUDE you took the deck as soon as he turned his back and you putted it in your pocket as fast as you can so he won't see it... it's so lame.

Here is a thought....instead of beating people up, why not take better care looking after your cards

Zipped ultra-pro binder with a strap, always at my feets.... one time in 2007 and the other time in 2009. How? Random new guy at the store says he gotta go catch his bus (07)/ his ride is waiting outside and he needs to quit the tourny (09), speed up the pace and while rushing trought the door, grabs my binder and run for it while I'm playing my game, so my cards were well keeped, I just happen to run a lot faster on top of being really mad at the douche(s)..... last week I let a friend browse my binder because he needed new ideas for EDH. It was crowded and I trusted him... now I know that I can't trust him... he just putted my binder on the other side of the table to finish his round. P.S. Other than that, I'm pretty much peaceful lol :P

Trust me, you are definitely not the only one who sees it that way.

To add relevance to the OP's Question...Mexico has a big MtG fan base. They have their own way of pricing cards, own meta, etc. When Onslaught came out, they valued WoG at about $15 while valuing fetches at $5... I got a few trades going on, but nothing major since WoG was pretty cool back then. I even helped a friend of mine in Reynosa, Mx. start up a store. sorry to say, yu-Gi-Oh players overrun the store, but on the positive side, they're the ones that keep the store going,(they spend crazy amounts on yu-gi) but when they do have FNM I try to go every so often. People are gettign better now, they use online guides for pricing, and net-decking. oh well.

A bad case of "foot in mouth" on my part. After I reread what I wrote, I realized it and tried to delete it, but you had already quoted it. I'm not sure what I was thinking at the time, but I hadn't Intended to offend anybody. Clearly I have, and I appologize for that. Feel free to issue a karma smack.

I heard importing MtG into Italy has become officially prohibited, because too many criminals did it as a way of money laundering. Considering Mexico isn't exactly the world's #1 crime-free nation, the same may be going on over there.__________________ Swamps suck. Mountains rock!

Nop, that's not the case in Mexico.

That comment, racist, really? Wow. I've seen less vieled and more crude remarks about particular nationationalities on this board without anyone saying boo. Even if you go as far to say as he was insinuating that Mexicans are bad traders and/or thiefs, that's not really racism. Racism, bigotry and prejudice are definitions that get mixed into the same pot too easily.
