If you went to US GPs, you probably know who I am talking about. He's an asian guy that trade his cards for bulk, he'll literally treat every card you own as bulk. Apparently he was banned on Friday for selling (and stealing @ Atlanta and @ SCG Open).Basically all the floor dealers were wondering where he went on Sat / Sun but according to the SCG owner he was kicked out on Friday.

Why in the world will anyone trade with a party who treats every card in the trade as bulk??? I mean, unless you bring boxes of real bulk stuff to dump to him.

Because some people don't know/care. He tried trading with me once and after valuing my foil Jotun Grunt at "Well, it's just a foil common" I told him to @#$% off and everytime he's seen me since he leaves me and anyone to my right/left/across alone. So I'm happy with it. But when I saw him in Atlanta, he was literally filling 5k boxes with stuff people gave to him. Though, apparently, even though he gives "bulk" prices people were getting really playable things like Japanese Time Spirals and such at sub-market value. I mean, I'm sure they were still losing money, but he actually gave out decent cards for their bulk. I disliked him a lot, but the fact he was stealing makes it even worse. __________________ Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"

oh, you mean peter yong, aka cheeses here.I heard he also got dq'd @ toronto for stealing, tho why he didnt end up on the suspended list is beyond me. he's also been banned from gray matter convention events, and his shennanigans has been broadcast far and wide. he deals on cardshark.. so.. if anyone around is on there, be warned. © __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger

So what does he do? Ask people for bulk? Or does he try to browbeat you into trading your Foil Counterbalances at ten cents each?__________________ #1 in posts from Brazil!#3 in Refs from Brazil; Got any Portuguese Foils? Post on my list or email me at valter.cid@gmail.com !

he lies flat out about what's bulk. there's a difference to ppl throwing you stuff @ bulk vs him yanking everything with complete disregard and telling ppl their cards are bulk. © __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger

If you live in Asia for a while, you will realised that some Chinese (peter yong sounds like a Chinese name) are real shady in the way they do business. The worst are the China nationals who grew up in rural areas.

To their credit, most Japanese dealers are pretty straightforward. Though in my experience, I give them crazy t2 deal (deckmaster brushlands, heavy play), for their judge foils. Everybody is happy.

Was he pressuring people to trade? I would just laugh and walk away, not allow myself to get ripped. He says something is bulk that's not, you don't trade. There must be more...

He probably was acting as a "suitcase dealer" and buying and selling and taking profit away from them. Enough reason to kick his ass out.

From what I've heard, he was stealing cards/binders from people. __________________ Ebay problems? File a claim, leave a neg, buy on MOTL.

This was the same way Mike Long traded, I remember when World's was in Toronto he pulled this crap and I called him on it and he pulled a huge "You shouldn't waste my time, do you know who i am" spazz. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

I think I also may have come across him at the last extended PTQ in Roanoke. He was carrying a binder with around 30 Jace the Mind Sculptors in it and when I traded with him, not only did he undervalue my rares, but was actually quite rude and hostile when I pulled out my laptop to double check prices. To further complicate the story, he had another young black man with him + another accomplice that was conversing with him only in chinese that were also trying to give me about 8-9 cents each in trade for my bulk rares (I was asking 15 cents for these, mid-way between the buy and sell prices of star city games prices). Although I normally bring a number of binders to do trades with and am often known for doing a $200-$600 trade with other players, even I knew that this was a bad deal from about a mile away. Needless to say, as a funny ending to this story, I pulled out about 2/3 the cards from his rare binders totalling around 700 separate cards to do a possible bulk trade for bulk + a few nice cards trade, but immediately told him that I was done and refused to trade with him for being rude to me, leaving him with a whole pile of rares out to sort. Good riddance to bad rubbish!! __________________ #2 in References in VirginiaOfficial Magic Dealer for Fun-N-Games in Blacksburg, VA Live in WV, near Blacksburg or Roanoke, VA? Come to Fun N Games! Man it is funny hearing you say all that about someone else because it sounds just like how you act here on these boards.

yeah.. I'd prob be the guy with the binder with 30+ jaces, but.. the rest of the story is awesome.. in that none of that was true.. nobody pulled out a laptop to check prices.. (get with the program, everyone has a smartphone for that nowadays) none of the other people I was traveling with was fluent in chinese to a point where I would have been conversing to them with it. first and foremost, I dont deal in bulk @ a show where I'm not vending, and uh, I dont let people pull excessively out of my binder, not a fan of people yanking 3-4k outta my binder without cause. if you're who I think you are, given u say you bring multiple binders to the shows.. all I can say is.. hah.. you were the one trying to run the buyside numbers on a binder like mine? srsly? you really think you can throw buyside @ anyone with a binder with 3+ pages of jace 2.0? © __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger
