First off, I don't know if making this into its own post is right or not, but I figure if this list is useful, then it will help other people too.

So the main point of this post is to create a list of EDH staple for each color, as well as artifacts and lands. Like if you play blue, you should play Bribery. Or you should play Sol Ring regardless of what color. (If I'm wrong, let me know). I don't have a lot of time anymore to play Magic, so I want to get into EDH eventually. Except for that I don't know enough about all the cards since I was out of Magic for a good 7-8 years. If you guys can help me put together a list of EDH staples, I can start trading for them and maybe put together a deck or 2 when I have more time.

Blastminer is much better than Miner. Random morphs aren't so much of an auto-counter as miner is.

Ant Queen is #2 green rare? Seriously? She's only good if you have infinite mana. And in that case sprout swarm is better because there's infinite creature removal.

Avatar of Woe is not the best edh black creature. How does Visara, which costs 2 less, end up so much "worse" than avatar? Makes no sense.

Too much hate in this post. It's not an end-all, be-all countdown, but rather a compilation of good cards, which in itself is subject to personal biases.

EDH is supposed to be fun and decks are often expressions of their builders rather than well-oiled, cutthroat machines.

Agree with this totally. I have my preferences for what's an auto-include in my decks and then what works better for the theme I'm trying for.

Those lists are good for getting an idea of what's a staple in the format. However, you're better off searching for decklists of the general you want to build around, and then making changes from there.
