Hey,Just curious if there's still value in buying up Future Sight Boxes with Goyf's at $50. I know the chances are less than 50% to pull a non-foil or foil version (combined) but there are some other decent cards, not great, but decent. Let's say you can pick a box up for $135.00 delivered to your doorstep. Thoughts?

If you like to draft FS and feels that it gives you great fun and satisfaction, and you do not mind losing money, go and buy at 135 shipped. If you feel it is important for you to get at least $100 of cards from that box, then reconsider, or pray hard that you will get foil Goyf.

You would basically have to get a Goyf+ Akroma's Memorial+a few other playable cards to make any decent amount of money out of the box. $135 seems high.

From what I remember from cracking Future Sight boxes when it was standard, you generally got about $40-60 in card value without a goyf. Distribution within the boxes was rather good. Quick glance at the price guide says there's about 20 cards out of 60 above $1. 7 above $5. Goyfs were said to be about 1 in 3 boxes or so.Personally I hate cracking Future Sight. Its crap rares are really hard to move. Very little out of the set worth having. However I would consider buying a Future Sight box at $135 shipped with the intention to either resell the sealed box or pack it out either through trade or sale. __________________

There are 60 rares in Future Sight. The odds of pulling a Goyf are 36/60 or 1 every 1.66666 boxes. When it was Type 2, FS was a great break. Now, the boxes are ~50.00 more, Goyf is about 10.00 more and the rest of the cards are worth less on average. I don't think it is worth it to break FS today.

Worldwake boxes are awful to pick up, they are going for $170+, no way you will make your money back on those things

What's there in Zen? A handful of fetchlands and maybe a Lotus Cobra.

and full art lands, worth a tiny bit ea I guess. Problem with having a larger list of good cards, its a larger set. Still going to whiff a ton. Opening boxes is rarely profitable.
