Hello,I started playing magic a few months ago. Recently, I bought two Savannah's and noticed something that I would like other people's thoughts on. On one of the cards I noticed a faint blue marking in the middle of it. It almost looked like someone accidentally marked it with a blue pen. However, the other card does not have that marking. I looked online for scans and found a hi-res scan from CCGHQ. That scan has the exact same mark at the exact same position. I circled it to show what I'm talking about. http://img16.imageshack.us/i/savannahl.jpg/ Is that typical of the Savannah's to have that mark? It goes outside the border of the picture. Again, one of the cards has that mark and the other one does not. They both glow under black light and I can see the circular print patterns on both cards. I was curious if that's normal or not and if one card or the other is fake. Thanks in advance! Edit: Both cards from supposedly from the Revised edition.

Three of my Savannah are Revised. I just looked at them and one of them has that same mark you described. I'll be pretty certain mine are real as I've had them since the 90's.__________________ NEQUAQUAM VACUUM If you list one of your interests as M:tG you send first. Ah, thanks. That makes me feel better about the cards. Does anyone else happen to have Savannahs with that same mark and is sure it's real? Thanks in advance.

I don't know specifics about revised or that particular card, but there are printing variations where a slight difference happens on the cards multiple times.edit: And if you're not sure what set it is you can look at scans like on magiccards.info or any number of sites that will teach you how to tell sets apart.

Get me a scan showing the printing pattern on the card, and I can tell you with reasonable certainty if it's real or not.Edit: Just checked my savannahs, and two have the same mark. I have never noticed it. I picked up the Savannahs in Brazil around 2002. Yours is most likely real, don't swat it. __________________ #1 in posts from Brazil!#3 in Refs from Brazil; Got any Portuguese Foils? Post on my list or email me at valter.cid@gmail.com !

So some Revised Savannahs have the mark and some don't?Either way, it's comforting to hear other people have the mark too. Thanks a lot for the responses.

When I saw the pic I remembered seeing that particular discoloration on a play set I owned back in 95'. It was the very first play set I bought and probably why I remember is from looking at them so much, and those markings were on all of them iirc.

A hair or thread was obvously present on the printing press, noticed by the master printer and removed, hence only part of the print run having this mystery mark. 2 of my revised ones have it as well.
