Hi,i was wondering if it is able to map sealed displays without opening them? i bought some displays of an edition because i got them cheap and i opened a lot of foils that where the same. i also got a foil rare twice...that should be very very unlikely it is an edition with the old card design. i heard of some newer editions to be mappable, but dont know about older ones, but i´ve never heard of sealed displays being mappable or treatable with some other process to sort out the money cards (in this case money foils, because for foils you have to search whole display-cases, not just boxes...) i would be very thankful for an answer!

What do you mean by "sealed displays"? Just tell us exactly what product you have and we could give a better answer. I don't really see any other product other then booster boxes as being mappable or worth mapping in the first place. Also searching products for the money rares and reselling the jank is a good way to make douch bag of the year.

i got 5 onslaught tournament boxes for 50€ each and the card distribution seemed very odd. they were original sealed with WotC wrap. in some boxes, all foil commons were turned to the backside, while this didnt occur on foil uncommons or rares. plus i got a foil rare twice (5 foil rares total, 4 boxes got foil rares, 1 got none, one got 2, some stupid 7/1 red creature, didnt even read the text)so, is it possible somehow to map/scan sealed boxes? to find out where in the print run a complete display was? i dont even wanna know how, i just want to know if it´s possible. just now i checked MKM and what do i see? the majority of sealed onslaught product is being sold in the form of tournament packs, not booster packs. that also seems a bit strange, why so many starters? so maybe there is some way of cheating. but i hope i just had bad luck...!

1. That "stupid" 7/1 foil rare you got was probably Blistering Firecat...which is worth about $10 , and would sell easily. 2.Why would you want to know box mapping unless you're a douche bag and want to cherry pick rares then re-sell the rest of the unopened product. So you're on a site asking people on how to cheat other people? Right. Enjoy your short stay here on MOTL.

I think he might be asking if it is possible just to see if someone did it before selling him his packs, as he thinks he might have gotten ripped off.

yes, i´m exactly asking if it was possible! yes, i think i got ripped off unless i had pretty bad luck... i repeat, i dont want to know how it works (if it works). i just wanna be sure... and the boxes were shrinkwrapped when i bought them, in original WotC wrapper... so if they were manipulated, there had to be a way to find the position of a complete box within the print run... they were too cheap to be true

The only thing you can box map AFAIK is booster packs for sets starting with Urza's Saga. This EXCLUDES tournament packs, which you are describing.

You can map all the way back if you put in enough time and resources. I have seen vids of Ross box mapping FBB revised and getting duals.

I'll buy the remaining sealed ones for whatever you paid for them. And then you can throw in the stupid 7/1 rare foil too.__________________ #1 in posts from Brazil!#3 in Refs from Brazil; Got any Portuguese Foils? Post on my list or email me at valter.cid@gmail.com !

there are no sealed ones, as i wrote above i opened all of them!what i forgot to tell: those boxes came out of a sealed starter box case with 6 displays in it. the 6th one has a friend, but he kept it closed, so i dont know what´s inside.

Why are you saying you had bad luck? How many Fetchlands did you get?

i got 3 mires, 1 delta, 1 strand, 1 foothills, 2piledrivers - 1,66 fetches per display are average, i got 1,2 per display, that´s ok...but thats not the point, the point is that i had extremely many foil duplicates and not even one foil swamp but all of the other basic lands at least 2x, some foil common 3x, many of them 2x, one foil rare 2x, two foil uncommons 2x

I apologize for my earlier comments it just seemed like you were coming off like you were going to try and rip someone off. That being said, if all you got was a random assortment of foils then that's nothing to worry about. I mean, if you REALLY wanted a Foil Onslaught swamp I can trade you one for a fetch . Otherwise it seems like you got a pretty fair run of cards.
