Hmm the very first ever box I purchased had:1 Sword of War and Peace
2 Urabrask the Hidden
1 Elesh Norn
[foil]1 Spellskite[/foil]
[foil]1 Surgical Extraction [/foil]
1 Spellskite
1 Hex Parasite
1 Puresteel Paladin
2 Myr Superion I don't know yet if I should bother with another.. any thoughts?

A Sphere of the Suns in a New Phyrexia box? How did you do that? /troll Anyway, that first box doesn't seem bad to me. What exactly were you hoping to get?

... All I wanted for Christmas was a Karn lol EDIT: Bah! And I meant "Caged Sun". I opened a total of 12 of those chancellors in my first 2 boxes... 2 of which were my foil rares...

This set is garbage to open. Almost as bad as Rise. The thing that really stinks is the fact that all the rares and mythics are pretty bad excluding maybe 2 or 3, but the uncommons which are powerful and should be realitivly easy to get are a pain in the ass to acquire.

Spend your $100 on singles instead of a box?
The box I cracked wasn't bad. Picked up a foil green praetor, batterskull and a few other mythics. Got a lot of duplicates of rares which I thought was weird.

Now these numbers will be not be 100% accurate as to what was really suppose to be in my box. I'll explain. I won over a box during the pre-release, one box was sealed, but it was part of a prize split with another player....I had to give 8 packs out of it. Then I had an additional 12 packs from another box. Totaling 40 packs.In those 40 packs not a single Mental Misstep! But there have been 2xSoWP
3xPhyrexian Obliterator
2xSurgical Extraction
1xFoil Surgical Extraction
1xBatterskull
3xSpellskite
2xUrabrask
2xElsh Norn

This set is great for box opening if you play casual. So many great casual cards. It's bad for money, but very nearly all boxes are bad for money.

I opened another box today. Only 3 Mythics, 2 of them Etched Monstrosity. 1 Mental Misstep, 1 Beast Within.3 boxes no Karn and no Sword. 7 Caged Suns  A lot of bad rares/mythics and the good uncommons are generally 1 or 2 a box.

The one box at the Pre, I got a Foil Karn, and someone got a foil Sword out of the same box, would have been a dream box if it wasn't used for the Pre Release. In the prize pull packs there was a 2nd Foil Sword. I bought 3 boxes and got a Karn in each and ended with 4 Obliterators, 6 Puresteels, 2 foil Missteps, 2 foil Despise, and 2 foil Deceivers Exarch, and 1 foil Geth's Verdicts, I got no Swords tho, but I traded and got both the foil ones pulled at the pre, so I'm done opening this set.

A friend and I opened a case of NPH and it was about what an average case should be. 2 Karn, 4 Batterskull, 3 Phyrexian Obliterator, 3 Sword of Feast and Famine. We had an insane amount of Urabrask throughout the case with 2 of those being foiled. I remember pulling 3 of them out of 1 box alone. Fair amount of the good non mythic rares, 4-6 of each of the following, Puresteel Paladin, Surgical Extraction, Spellskite.My Beseiged box had a foil Tezzeret but no non foil Tezzerets so I guess the foil one makes up for not getting 2 non foils.

I totally agree with this.
I picked up 6 packs, pulled the worst 6 rares, gave up and bought a playset of all commons/uncommons on Ebay for 28.00 This set has the best ratio of good com/uncom to crappy rare i have ever seen.
