Topic: why are jap foils worth a lot?

I'm just wondering why japanese foils are so ungodly high? i saw a mother of ruins for like $100 and a crop rotation for $60. I just dont get it, so can someone explain it to me? thanks.

americans love anything imported.maybe seeing a card with symbols instead of letters facinates people.. who knows. I have a foil foreign bionic mastery.. why isnt that worth anything? why do people use expensive guru lands over $0.01 white boarder 8ed lands? who knows.
I mean they do the exact same thing. I never got into the whole "ooooo shiney or ooooo foreign" thing. so I guess I just dont get it either. probly never will.

The hive mind has decided that Japanese cards are "the coolest", so they are the most expensive.

there MUST be just as many japanese players as there is american im sure there mass print just as many japanese cards as english
