Topic: New Commander Decks--Thoughts?

Stopped by a target today. They had 4 Commander Decks in stock, looks like no one had even touched them. One devour, counterpunch, polpuppets, and inferno.I didnt buy any because I'm not interested in them, but the first big box store I checked looked fully stocked. P.S. They put them on the metal bars instead of the lower shelves where I thought they would be. Being put on the metal bars made it to where only 4 could fit in the entire display.

Walmart, target, and the local LGS around here are still all selling them at MSRP. Though, one LGS sells them at $30 solid with tax. He is a strange one, also sells 3 boosters of new sets for $10. __________________

went to walmart yesterday and they had about 6 of'em. all had the 29.99 sticker on them.

Wizards has stated that they will print the hell out of these, so anyone paying over retail needs to get some patience.__________________

I got Counterpunch and was really pleasantly surprised with its playability. Ghave and Karador are both extremely fun generals. However, I will say that after modifying it with my own stuff, having it completely whip my homebrewed pride and joy Momir deck was slightly dismaying.

Still can't get devour for power. Have access to 3 targets and 2 card shops. Have been told that it sells out instantly when they receive them. I've seen heavenly inferno, 2 counterpunches, 2 political Puppets. I hope wizards doesn't print all 5 at once or else these will be rare since people will only buy 1 and leave the others so no one will request to get more.

I'm going to wait until the price falls.Also: They won't print any more of one deck over another.

My friend and I went ALL over the place, both of our local magic retailers, 2 walmarts, 2 targets, we finally found them at the last walmart. They are really well built for a pre-made deck, still haven't figured out wtf Patron of Nezumi is in the Devour for Power deck (the one I got). It's really fun to play and I'm so glad they have little control/land destruction (both un-fun tactics in EDH). I would suggest getting one, if you can find them in stock, if for nothing else then for the trade fodder.... oh and LIGHTNING GREAVES/SOL RING... lol
