Unless it's something like Oros, you should be going by 'theme'/'color' rather than 'color'.So Merieke Ri Berit is BUW for "steal stuff", while that woman from Legends is UWG for "steal stuff".

It's more for personal preference. It seems harder to go with less colors since you have so many more options for generals with less colors.

Hmm... well, first of all, there are no 4-color legends.blue would be Memnarch or Teferi or Arcum
WUB is either Sharuum or Zur
RGW is Uril

@rockondonSome of those sound ok, but most are far from the best options. I can't see how Silvos is ever better than Omnath in mono-green or Kumano better than something like Kiki. Also, now that the Commander decks are out, most of the enemy wedge generals are all out-classed. At least for UBG, URG, and BWG. UWR and BWR kind of got the shaft for good general options out of the set. __________________

And I don't see how rith the awakener is better than Uril or how Intet is better than Riku. Nor do I know what good phelddagrif would be at all. But all that is because I didn't make the list, I simply posted it from somewhere else. I've never made an EDH deck before, but currently I'm considering making a Riku deck. __________________

Sorry, I know you didn't make the list. I was just noting that many of those are far from the optimal choices for those colors. I really don't think there is a best general anyway. I firmly fall in the "build around the general" camp 99% of the time I'm working on decklists. __________________
