my main question is if it becomes a 1/1 infect for only 1 turn at a time, shouldnt it need haste in order to attack? Also im pretty sure counters stay on it eventhough its a land can someone please clear this up for me.

As long as the land has been under your control continuously since your untap phase, it can attack. Counters stay on the land.

{1}: Inkmoth Nexus becomes a 1/1 Blinkmoth artifact creature with flying and infect until end of turn. It's still a landyour essentially attacking with your land. The term “summoning sickness” is an informal term which describes a creature’s inability to attack or to use activated abilities that include the tap symbol when it has come under a player’s control since the beginning of that player’s most recent turn. as far as counters - this was taken from raging ravine

No, it can not. Inkmoth Nexus enters the battlefield as a land, the same turn you turn it into a creature the game checks and sees that it has summoning sickness. You can tap it before turning it into a creature to get mana from it, but if you turn it into a creature and then tap it for mana it won't work because it has summoning sickness as a creature. Also, you can't tap it for mana, and attack with it in the same turn unless you've given it Vigilince (attack first, then tap) or have some way to untap it.

On the turn you play Inkmoth Nexus, unless you have a way to give it haste, you can (should) only use it for mana or blocking. If Nexus doesn't have summoning sickness [via haste/sickness has worn off] then you can either tap it for mana, or attack with it. if it has vigilance you can attack with it, then tap it for mana. Or you can tap it for mana, untap it with some other spell or ability and attack with it. Or attack with it and then untap it with another spell or ability. But, in most cases you will be limited to one option or the other. __________________ Joz - can we ban Leshrac for not fixing the Chrome PM issue?Gunslinga - If I thought it would help, and if I could, I would.

No, it's not. 8/1/2008 A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature is subject to the "summoning sickness" rule: It can only attack, and its {T} abilities can only be activated, if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of his or her most recent turn. Otherwise, it functions as either a land, or a creature that can be tapped for mana. __________________ Joz - can we ban Leshrac for not fixing the Chrome PM issue?Gunslinga - If I thought it would help, and if I could, I would.
