I more than doubled the number of Blood of the Martyr cards from The Dark that I own today with THIS recent purchase, but I need to almost double it again to even have 0.1% of all of them in existence. Right now, I own 1/1500 of the printed copies.

1 of out of every 1500 Blood of the Martyr cards from The Dark is now in my possession. However, there are apparently 256,000 total.

Oh I got ya, I read that (1/1500) as 1 out of 1500. You however have 1/1500% of all of them.~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

Yes, I was collecting Hymn to Tourachs. I remembered you could pick them up easily for $1 in 2007. Now, they are $1.50 and not many people are selling them anymore..... My personal favourite is the picture of the people holding hands. I have to offer more for the Wolf picture because no one wants to sell it unless they get a bit more for the Wolf picture........

I had pretty nice Dark Ritual collection... MTDetermine bought tho (Thanks) It helped me kick start my Alpha deathlace collection. I wanted to get 1% which I thought would be a challenge but managed to buy them all in one ebay auction. So now I've turned to 2% which has been a bit harder... not much tho the hard part is finding them for less then the BIN's on ebay. I"m currently at 18 which if I go for 3% I guess I'll have to get the ebay ones. I"m not sure I want to start spending $25+ for them. Theres always my Carnopahge, Sanrophage, Volrath's Garden hoarding if things with the Deathlaces gets too pricy.

You can always take the route of using the "ask a seller a question" to make offers on ebay items that dont have a best offer feature. If they have an online store presence they are likely priced cheaper at their store then on ebay as well.

I tried doing this a couple times, but I always got bored with it and eventually got rid of the 'collection'.First I collected Tormented Angels from Urza's Destiny, got up to about 1000 of them before I wondered 'What is the point of this?' and sold them off to other angel collectors. Then I collected Guiding Spirits from Visions, but only unique ones -- misprints and foreign languages. Got enough to display in one whole binder page, put it at the end of my trade binder, and stopped. I just can't get into the whole 'collect all of a card' thing. If I can't play with it, and can't enjoy looking at them because I have too many for a binder, all they do is sit inna box and take up space. After having to move a bunch of times in two years right after college, I decided I'd prefer not to have a lot of collections of things which don't give me much personal enjoyment. If I don't plan on playing the MTG cards, they are disposable, even if I like the art, etc...
