Seems as though Allys are dominating our current T1 tournaments in our local friends group that plays once a week. Are these decks just that good? My affinity artifact deck always dominates however against this specific deck it just blows, and so does every other deck that gets in its way. Comments on Allys?

Allies? as in the zendikar block cards that behave like slivers? if your affinity deck is doing anything but steamrolling them, I think you're doing it wrong O.o __________________ "I never got any respect at all. Need some engineered plagues I would think. Also tsabo's decree seems like it would break your metagame in half.

Why is there tree of tales in your affinity list..no green. At least be a man and play great furnace so you can bluff the shrapnel blast...

Using it to count towards an artifact. Tezz / Master of Etherium, Juggernaugt, Broodstar, and Cranial Plating all have something to do with the # of artifacts. Haven't really had any issues with land.

they aren't official tournaments. We buy a bunch of packs and ante them out and have a tournament. I must say that I am a very general player. I am into MTG but not as much as a lot of people. I was just trying to get an opinion / help on the topic. Poke fun all you want I guess, was just looking for some advice.

I have no idea how that ally list wins but I would say just make your affinity list a little quicker. Play things like frogmite and the likes instead of those huge creatures. The Qumulox looks especially bad. I'd also suggest lodestone golem. His creatures will cost more thus making him much less explosive.

Thank you. I will look into that, I think your right with the Qumulos, I have noticed a very small return with the mana investment within the deck compared to other cards.

Try something like: 4 Frogmite 4 Disciple of the Vault 4 Myr Enforcer 4 Shrapnel Blast 4 Thoughtcast 4 Thirst for Knoiwledge 4 Cranial Plating 4 Etched Champion 4 Master of Etherium 4 Ornithopter 4 Seat of the Synod 4 Darksteel Citadel 4 Great Furnace 4 Vault of Whispers 4 Mox Opal That's not a good list (you want to stick a way to sac artifacts in there so you can kill people with Disciple of the Vault), but with it you should be able to take the Allies deck out back and beat the crap out of it. __________________ #2 in posts from British Columbia!Got any Portuguese Foils? Galvanic blast might be better than shrapnel blast. Or maybe in addition?

yeah, nice metalcraft effect there, good idea. In addition to sounds like some unexpected damage coming their way.

Heck you can play dispatch now. Swords effects with 0 drawbacks sound good.
