So I have recently gotten back in to foiling/pimping out my decks lately, and was wondering what you guys use when pimping out your stuff. I am thinking between Veronique Meignaud Zen foils and Urza's Saga promos. Which do you think is better?

-Chinese Alt-art Basic from Portal
-A/B Basics
-Guru lands

I used these lands to pimp up my EDH/couple of decks. Summer Edgar Basic is one of the best pimp IMO. Mis-cut basics do count as well.

I have a long time fetish with those Saga lands, I guess it would be more pimp to try and track down 30 of each with out the saga symbol....but that would seemingly take forever. And I do really like Meignaud's work :/. Tough to choose.

I like A/B basics for the most part. My cube is Unglued full art basics.

I've been thinking about picking up some of the Euro and APAC lands but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I use full guru in everything, but recently I've just been too lazy to dig them out. They're getting all scattered throughout boxes and such because I break down decks and don't strip the basics out. Time to resort my random stuff again =/

Jap foil Snow Covered Lands or MPS Guild Lands IMO.

Hardly pimp, but I use Mirage basic lands. The Arena foil lands that used Ice Age and Beta art are also pretty cool.

Most of my EDH decks have different basics, making them true highlander decks. Random foil basics, Euro/APAC lands, Unglued/Unhinged and Beta. A couple of my decks are still full art ZEN lands, all the same picture. Not sure which I like better so I think I'll keep it a mix for now.

Lately I've been on an A/B kick for basics. After that, I like Unglued lands. Gurus are cool, but way out of my price range for basic lands.

From most expensive to least

1) 100+. Summer Islands. Most expensive, but I think they look seriously bad. My opinion is only people with tonnes of money and no tastes will like them as they are the most expensive islands out there. Just like the poor guy who suddenly strike lottery and want the thickest gold chain available to show off his wealth.

2) 60+. Guru Island. 2nd most expensive. Very nice picture.

3) 18+. Foil Unhinged Island. Very nice picture as well, plus its foil.

4) 9-10. Chinese Portal Alternate Art Islands. Decent picture

5) 7-8. Euro Island of Venice. Very nice picture

6) 5-7. Foil Zen Islands. Generally very nice plus they are foil.

7) 3-5. APAC Hong Kong Island. Some likes it

8) 3-4. NM A/B Islands. Always a solid classic.

9) 3-4. Urza Saga foil. Nice picture plus its foil and relatively harder to find.

10) 2.5-3. Unhinged/Unglued Islands. Nice pictures

11) 2-3. APAC Singapore Island. My favourite, cos my country's picture. Who says the best things are the most expensive?

The Saga Foil w/o the set symbol goes for about 20.00.

My favorite foils by far (for lands, anyway) are unhinged.
If you click the "my angels" link in my truck sig it shows my all-foil angels deck with unhinged plains and islands at the end. If you don't wanna see it all you can immediately click the left button to go straight to the end to see the lands.

My personal faves are the chinese Portal ones, I get the most "WTF are those" mileage from them for sure. Second I'd say the 2006 MPS lands, those also get a lot of WTF's. AN Mountains/Foil UNH third.

My favorite land is my Spanish Odyssey Foil "Thunder" Plains.

In general, I like FBB 3rd basics, because the tilted T is awesome and they have black borders too.
