Just wondering, are you more likely to look at a list that has *everything* listed, or at a list that has only half decent cards (say greater than $1) listed?__________________ #2 in posts from British Columbia!Got any Portuguese Foils? Post on my list or email me at valter.cid@gmail.com !

I'd rather look at smaller lists with stuff $1< because that's less bulk to sift through when trying to even out a trade. That and all the stuff worth less I'd just buy online or from a local dealer all at once anyway__________________ send ref checks, paypal payment or any questions to the email in my profile! Only the valuable stuff. I hate looking through massive binders full of crap in real life to find a card just as much as I hate looking through massive lists full of crap online. 10 cent cards aren't worth the shipping anyway.

List everything. The trade matcher and Ctrl + F are here for a reason.Sometimes I see 1-2 dollar cards that I say "Oh yeah, I'll take that" or maybe something Nostalgic. ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

+1. I like the people that separate the good stuff ($5 plus) then lower put the other stuff. I used trade matcher religiously. __________________ -Schmitty 7th in Refs [191] in OH-IO (Catching up to jmedina) 2nd in Posts [5763] in OH-IO (Have a long way to go to catch Val) “If Brad Stevens is the future of coaching in college basketball, the sport is in a good place.” - Rick Pitino

I'm more likely to look at a list with only good stuff listed, if it's all mixed in with junk. But, I don't trade for the bad stuff at all anymore. Some people do this already, but I wonder why more people don't emphasize the good stuff in its own section at the top and, then list the bad stuff separated by a header indicating that it's junk. This way people that focus on the "good stuff" can continue to focus on it, while people who look for the "bad stuff" can look for those too.

Exactly. You're better served by having similar haves and wants. If you only want good stuff, don't bother listing the bad stuff that you have, but if you need some random crap stuff, list your worse stuff as well. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. I'm at the point to where I'm not going to list my smaller wants any more since so many pp will offer up a stack of $2-3 dollar cards for a couple $15-20 cards. Rational being it adds up.I've seen to many Want Lists full of $10+ cards versus Haves full of bulk with only two or three cards worth more than $5. You'd think it would obvious to reflect value wise in your Haves as opposed to what you want. As far as listing cards worth a buck or two I want to see everything you have listed especially if you want my money cards, just separate the bulk from the good stuff. I'll be more likely to look and trade.

I have such niche wants that posting low-value stuff is pointless, so I just don't do it. I should eventually put up my cool Legacy and Standard haves though, I guess.

This. With the exception of a few big items, most of my wants are either niche collection cards, or they are smaller and for fun. I don't want to trade duals/Legacy for the 2nd group unless I get crazy good deals (which I don't think will happen), so I only post my extra.

I post everything in my binder. i dont have the power cards to trade, which is what every1 wants, so nobody posts on my list. in the end, i try to bold highlight the "good" cards, but if it aint duals, fow, etc, u dont get n e posts n e ways. what we need is a junk crap trading forum, also could be used for noobs. Only way to get posts on my list is by myself! lol. trade matcher isn't very helpful. ive used it several times. not 1 trade/reply.

Everything that's a decent (in terms of card quality, not monetary value) card and liable to catch someone's attention. I'm often looking for commons and uncommons that are extremely good but not worth much, and they can be hard to find--plus, I'd prefer to trade similar cards for them. I assume that other people feel the same way, and it seems to work pretty well on the whole. __________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. When I had a H/W I spent hours and listed everything. It took me about fifty minutes to type out the cards people actually wanted. The rest of the time, I wasted. In the one case someone cared about my small foils, they decided asking for MTGO price guide prices was too much and the trade fell apart. It was a $7 trade. Basically... list promos, list cards worth above three dollars, and list the current type two set that *just came out*. If it's been out longer than seven months, no one will want the bulk rares anymore. It's ok to list hot T2 uncommons, and cards like Daze which are sought after in older formats. Otherwise, don't waste your time. This isn't your local cardstore where casual players will trade a money mythic for five to twenty normal rares. Instead, they will quote the secondary market, call all your cards bulk rares (even the ones at $3 ea), and ask for cash too! People trading on here are only interested in making money and extending their collections, as opposed to 'fair value'. They want to trade up, and will reject even trades. That has been my experience, which is why I'm not a very active trader online anymore.

I prefer to look at lists with only good cards listed. It's easier on the eye. Sometimes I may not know exactly what I want and in those situations looking through lists with "everything" listed is painful.

I've got a huge collection and am still "building" my have part of my have/want list so I tend to list stuff through legends (including commons) as I know some folks want 4 of's for the older things. For Revised/Dark and onwards, only the cards over $1 unless it is a magic staple.Just my 2 cents (soon to be worth 1 cent as the Fed increases the money supply). Regards...Greg

Matching the value of your haves with the value of your wants is the best way to get deals that aren't a waste of time. If you want to try and trade medium/smaller stuff you do that on other people's list... hence why no one gets good offers on their lists.

Well, there's also the fact that most want lists anymore are dominated by "omg duEls shocks jace goyf" Honestly probably going to give up on a HW list. My current one is more so I can just keep track of what I want right now and just in case somebody actually wants to make an offer. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Garoyle. Oh and we get people who are like DUElZ ONLY 4 DUELS OR I ONLY TRADE UP. Wishful thinking or delusional? You decide!
