Not sure where to put this, Mods please relocate as wanted.Just thought I'd put this up if anyone was interested. Amy Weber is selling the original painting for the card Steal Artifact to finance her brothers burial. She's looking for offers on it, so if you're interested, drop her a line at orion713@aol.com or just friend her on Facebook and PM her.

Always liked that one. If I was currently looking for original art, I'd definitely consider it. On another note, does she still have the original for Time Walk? If not, who's got it? That's got to be one of my absolute favorite original MTG paintings... And I imagine it would (did) go for a pretty penny (or two)!

I'm also wondering if Time Walk is still in her possession or not. Hm.-Matt

Out of curiosity, what is the highest price you would just snap call and buy this at? Keep in mind, the entire painting is 5x7".

It'snot a really nice piece of art. I wouldn't really pay anyting for it.

Agreed. It is, however, a piece of Magic history and some do place value on it. I'm curious to see what that value is.

I'd snap it at like $250. If I had the resources, I could see myself paying $500-600 to add to a collection, or up to $1K if I had a connection to Amy or the card itself.

I'd imagine with the history attached to the card that the original art would easily fetch upward of $2000. If Chris Rahn can move the original art for Sword of Body and Mind for around $700 then older art should go for double that or more. I would love to own an original piece of MTG art someday and Steal Artifact is one of the sweeter pieces out there. Whoever manages to snag it will be a lucky individual.

The newer art is literally often nearly triple the size of many of the old originals. Idk how I feel about it's value.

Most 'lesser' A/B pieces of art sell between $700-$1800. Honestly, I can't imagine paying more than $400 for this piece myself, but in this case, as she's selling it to assist with her brother's burial costs, I imagine she'll expect toward the higher end (I mean, it is a pretty touching cause.) Also, the fact that she still has this indicates 1) she is very attached to it 2) she's speculates it is far more valuable than she thinks.

She actually gave it to her brother many years ago, but since his death his wife asked Amy to move it to help pay for funeral expenses.

Any stats on this? I'm guess it'll be $2000, $1500 minimum on this piece.

Although Amy is a very talented artist, I don't think this was one of her better works. The art is fairly small and I don't think it's a very fabulous piece. I would say 1000 to 1200. I personally don't think its worth more than 750.

Hi All,If anyone is curious she gave the Time Walk art to Peter Adkinson before the game came out. As far as I know she does not have any of her originals left.
