I'm going to be in dt Philly (1700 Chestnut st, I'm assuming google maps points me at downtown) this week on business and i'm wondering where I can draft during the week (Tues, Weds, or Thurs specifically, I'm flying back friday) without travelling too far. I found Redcap's Corner online but I'm wondering if there's anything closer or better that doesn't show up on google maps.

Also, Redcap's Corner says their drafts are $8. Is that normal in the states? Does this mean I need to bring my own packs? Is the prize payout super small? Seems too cheap but maybe that's just because I'm Canadian.

Store I play at charges $15 for draft but there is decent prize support to go with it. I'm in PA however, I'm not close enough to anything in Philly.

There's a comic book store in the Plymouth Meeting Mall called Comics and More that runs drafts on Tuesdays. It's probably about a half hour drive on I-76 from downtown. There are a few local shops that draft on Mondays and FNM, which doesn't really help. I'm not too familiar with anything beyond that.

$8 draft probably means minimal prize support, maybe 1 pack for the winner. Sometimes stores do drafts like that just to get people in the store to spend.

For downtown Philly, Redcap and Brave New Worlds (Old City) is your best bet for drafts.

1/2 hour drive to Plymouth Meeting Mall from DT Philly, maybe at 2 AM

The only other places to play are further out than Redcaps and BNW (Alternate Universes in Blue Bell and Holmes, 7th Dimension Games in Jenkintown, Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove and Cyborg One in Doyslestown).

~30 minutes outside of Philly is Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove and 7th Dimension Games in Jenkintown. BNW charges $16 to draft and it's single elimination. They draft Tuesday and Thursday. Monday and Wednesday you can draft at 7DG and it is 3 rounds of swiss with $15 entry fee. The only other place I can think of in Philly would be the other Brave New Worlds old city which I know nothing about.
