Here’s all the information for N.Y.S.E. XX, the first New York NEV event of 2012:

But New York events are going to be more than just Vintage tournaments. Here’s the full schedule for the weekend:

[b]Saturday 1/14:[/b]
10am registration, 11am start, $25 entry Legacy tournament. This event will be sanctioned, so no proxies are allowed.

12pm registration, 1pm start, $30 Vintage tournament.

$30, 10 proxy non-sanctioned Vintage tournament. Up to five additional proxies can be bought for $1 each. Deck registration sheets will be in use. First place prize of an Unlimited Mox Sapphire is guaranteed.

The prize structure will be as follows:

1st: Unlimited Mox Sapphire
2nd: 2x English Mana Drain
3rd/4th: 1x Revised Tropical Island
5th/8th: 1x Wasteland
9th: Mystery Prize, to be autographed by the top 8

Second place through eighth place prizes are guaranteed at 40 entrants. As always, prizes will be scaled up with attendance.

4pm registration, 5pm start, $10 Standard tournament. The winner of this tournament will earn a round one bye to the main flight Standard event, which will take place on Sunday, 1/15.

Side Events:

Eight man, single elimination, side events will be available throughout the day. Signups for the first event will begin after round four of the main event. Entry fee is $12, with a blue dual land (probably a Tropical Island) being given to first!

Sunday 1/15:
10am registration, 11am start, $25 Standard tournament. First place prize will be a foil playset of one of the chase rares from Standard, with 2nd-8th being similarly sweet prizes.

12pm registration, 1pm start, Commander tournament. I’m still working out the details on what sufficient prize support for this would be and what should be charged for entry fee.

Throughout the day on Sunday we’ll have $12 side events in Commander, Legacy, Vintage and Standard for blue dual lands.

Name a weekend that isn't with Wizards and StarCity doing everything nowadays. Besides, not every magic player travels to every magic event. Most of Long Island is not going to Orlando. Likewise, not every Magic player wants to play every format. This is just another option for players.
