Anyone else going to be there? Managed to take down a GPT and had some extra cash lying around so I figured I'd give it a go.

On that note, anyone looking for someone to split a room with? I've got something planned for now but they're being a bit flaky and if I can get something concrete beforehand it would obviously be much better.

Well, that was a kick in the stones. Went X-1 on day 1 and then 0-3'd the first draft to finish out of the money. How did everyone else do?

On a related note, how high do you pick stitched drakes, armored skaabs, and deranged assistants? I think the assistant and drake are probably in the 2-5 range and the skaab in the 3-8 but after that draft I'm not sure I ever take another stitched drake. I ended up with 2 of them from my first 3 picks in pack 1 but never saw a deranged assistant and the only skaab I saw was up against a cackling counterpart. Ended up with a deck that had an awful curve and 3 orchard spirits, yuck.

Lost rounds 1 & 2 to UW skies and round 3 to WG humans with double travel prep, while stitched drakes just sat in my hand and my only removal was 2 grasp of phantasms.

Had 3 byes, then went 1-3 drop. Massively punted my second loss when I forgot that Ludevic's Test subject has trample when it flips and I should have cast my Grasp of Phantoms.

If he recast it then I would have been able to kill him in two swings through the air with any land off the top getting me flashback on the grasp as a backup.

In another match, he exactsied me the turn I milled him down to 1 card left in his library with Nephalia Drownyard.

Sold some stuff, bought some stuff, took second in a standard side event then first in another one. All in all, a halfway decent time GP performance not withstanding.
