Especially if they are banned for multiple rules violation and not because of ripping. But again, as long as they send first, I don't see a reason why not.

Does anyone know exactly how do this? I already called USPS and filed a MailFraud report with them, but I'm not sure if I need to do anything else.
The town that you sent the package to should have a Post Office or try 411 directory assistance. Call the Canada Post again and now that you have copies/receipts of the mail fraud to present to them (email) they should be able to intercept the package. Make sure you contact the local PO in the town where the package is going to verify they have been informed and that the proper information has been forwarded, after you speak with the Canadian Post again. Remember, the PO workers are there to help you so be patient and most of all polite.

Well, I've called the USPS and filed a Mail Fraud complaint with the customer service rep who answered the phone. She said they would open an investigation into the matter. She asked for some personal info, and details about the package; Where it was going, description of the envelope/package and where I sent it from (as well as my address). Afterwards, she gave me a confirmation number and said she could transfer me to the Mail Fraud Department. They were closed, so I called them this morning, but the person I spoke didn't give me much more information or hope. I'm basically wondering if I still need to call the Police or if I've done all I can for now. Would it be redundant to call the Local Police, fill out a report online or another Mail Fraud service?

At this point I'd do absolutely everything that official channels afford you. If this guy gets your cards, you need to have all your ducks in a row; have as many people working on this that are willing.

So, call the Police (I'm guessing the Local police...even though the package isn't in Columbus anymore) fill out Online Mail Fraud forms and perhaps call the Mail Fraud Hotline?

I would. The local PD will likely tell you they can't do anything, but on the off-chance they have a procedure for a foreign scammer defrauding one of their citzens...though it's likely not their area. Still, wouldn't hurt to make an inquiry, and they might have some tips on how to procede. As for the other things, definitely. This might even qualify as identity theft, hacking someone's account to pull this garbage.

You NEED to get in touch with the PO in Canada where the package is going and talk with the people there -they are the only ones that can intercept your package at this point- and whoever you spoke with before about needing to provide copies of the reported mail fraud. Again, explain the situation and give them the information they need (name and address on the package, copies of your postal fraud report). Make sure you deal with someone who is capable/willing to help you. They should give you a definitive answer.

DarkZ, email me all the info you can on the package, what it looks like, everything. As well as any numbers or whatever that you have gathered from filing fraud and I'll call the Canadian Post Office tomorrow morning. Thanks, Jazaray

I also am involved in a trade with "reinhart" but I believe he has already received my cards but will still be filing for mail fraud. is there anything else I can do since my trade has been in the mail for at least 10 days?edit: I do have a usps customs declaration showing that I shipped that package to him.

Just curious. What was your deal with him? [quote: Originally posted by TincSam: I'm joining the wagon here. Sent some cards to him, address:John Strickland apt 705 - 1971 St.Laurent Blvd Ottawa, Ontario K1G 3P8 Canada Glad it was only $23, but sucks. Will look into filing appropriate actions.

Guys, go to the BTA forum and open a case. It's going to be easier to track.

Why do a BTA...he's already banned? I also sent him cards and will need to go through the mail fraud process as he has def already received what I sent him. I have a feeling I won the contest for most lost. Tundra (NM-M) x2 and Hero of Bladehold (Promo Foil) x2...ouch!

Have you heard anything from the PO in Canada receiving your package?

Nope, they haven't got the package yet, which gives me a bit of hope that somehow it got stopped and I might have a chance of getting it back. What do you think? Are you having a similar experience?

I'll just be glad to hear when you get the package back. Seeing that a situation as this is easily managed as long as you go through the right channels. --------------

I'm not sure what reinhart was banned for, but in general I would check to see why that person was banned before you start freaking out. I know many people who are very honest people who were banned because of other reasons, chiefly being that their item was lost in shipping, and they refused to send another one. That's how my friend was banned, and he's a good guy. People just have their lines they won't cross, and if they get banned, oh well. I'm not saying that's what reinhart did, there are a ton of people who actually do rip, but it's not always that way with banned people. __________________ DCI Level 1 JudgeWinner of the 2005 Judge Judy Award! Well DOT, if you read the thread, you'd know why he was banned. His account was hacked by a ripper.
