So here is my question to all you fine MTG players out there. With the new set how will you collect? Do you go out and buy a box? Purchase just the hot cards? Draft only? Collect a full set online and redeem? Today is release day and i'm pondering for myself the best way to go about this. In the past I have purchased and redeemed a full set online (I find most cards cheaper online to pick up). What are your plans??

T take the cards from the prerelease and drafting and trade them for Legacy. Then sit and wait. Once prices drop I just buy the standard that I want.

Bought a few cards as playsets when they were worth it (bonfire at 4 ea, Ulvenwald Tracker and Zealous COnscripts at 1 ea), bought a box for trade fodder.Drafting should be fun, though it's gonna be harder than most sets to value draft, since the set lacks anything resembling powerful uncommons or limited-unplayable money card like mox pearl (notable exceptions - Avacyn and Griselbrand).

Normally I select the cards I want from the visual spoiler and buy those singles, though I loved Innistrad enough to purchase the whole set, only in foil. Thought I might do the same for Dark Ascension and Avacyn Restored but those sets as a whole do not quite come together for me.Maybe I should look at AVR as a complete stand-alone set, only barely related to Innistrad.

QFT, or in other words, just sell for cash and use them for eternal format stuff. __________________ If MTG is a metaphor in our lives, it will be Yawgmoth's Bargain. Coup de grāce ! 我爱上你,但是我必须假装不爱你.

Anyone try the MTGO route? I find buying about $100 of tix and buying the uncommons/commens in bulk with junk rares is a great fast way to get a set to redeem.

Buy the bulk common/uncommons that look playable then wait a while till prices stabalize and get individual cards I want for decks. In the meantime, trade away everything I get from prereleases.

I have 3 boxes incoming.I don't really care about the cards. Not gonna play Standard anyway. I'll draft some stuff.

Draft, pick up singles for cheap later for casual formats.

Started writing down the cards I wanted for the art and the ones for decks, until I realized I want over 2/3 of the set for the art and about 40 cards for decks (not including multiple copies of a few).So I will be saving up for a foil set.

Just do a lot of drafting, I believe the set is drafted 3x AVR so it should not be too hard to get a set.
