Ok i used to collect sports cards and have been involved in alot of what is called Group Breaks( if you search them on youtube you will see what i am talking about) I have been thinkg about how to make a Group Break Work for Magic the gathering here is a few simple ideas i have
Ill use 100.00 box for a example
10 spost 13.00 each spot (includes shipping) payment made thru Money oreder or Paypal Spots are white R/M white C/U Blue R/M Blue C/U Black R/M Black C/U Green R/M Green C/U Red R/M Red C/U
All colorless cards A/L
will be Randomly drawn for after the break and all people who have a spot has a chance at them That break down Artifact R/M Land R/M Artifact C/U Land Basic/uncommon Foils would go with the spot the Base card would go
For example A foil Temp Mastery would go to who ever has the Blue R/M the break would be done live on my channel on blogtv.com so what do you guys thing...if there is enough interest in this we can make it happen.....

I highly doubt anyone is going to pay $13 dollars for one section of commons/uncommons in this set. I wouldn't even want a full set of commons/uncommons for $13.__________________ Most References in Massachusetts 80th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

So you want to buy a box for 100, and sell it for 130. why would we want to do this again?__________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? it is simply a ruff idea...open to any changes the spots could easily be changes as i said this is a ruff idea not a set in stone idea and as far as the 130 that would simply be for shipping as top loaders will not hold hold the cards not to mention when was the last time you spent 13.00 bucks to have a shot at every pack in a box

this seems really sketchy© __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger

More like have a shot at 1/5th of every pack in a box?

possibly change the cycle for r/u c/mAnd have the rounds set to rotate. Round 1 you get r/u, round 2 you get c/m. 13.00 for a gamble that could benefit you wildly or yeild nothing or something in between. Would roughly account for 13 dollars for 3.6 packs. Although that still sounds like a bad deal as I can get 5 for 20 and keep it all. Tinker with this idea and it may float. But right now its weak sauce.

So, how does everyone involved verify what was drawn and in what order? How is anyone to know that you didn't just "adjust" the draws? I am not saying that you are a dishonest person, as I don't even know you at all... But I am just saying,... from a realistic/practical stand-point. I like the idea in a way, but I just don't know how the actual draws would be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt? EDIT: I just noticed the whole "live on BlogTV or w/e... but still... I and probably hardly anyone else knows nothing about that. Am I wrong, MOTL community?

It would be done live on web cam on blogtv.com from the random drawings to the pack openings to the showings of card pulls

I feel like the math would just work out better if you opened a box yourself. And if a person really needs a gambling fix, there is online gambling and real life casinos...

I know there is a lot of nah sayers but I think you would likely find a good number of takers. It's not for everyone but it's no worst then people who buy grab bags. Trust being the key issue. In sports card people would go in on really expensive boxes/cases (think $1000+) and usually they would pick a team and all cards from that team they would get. Pick the yankees and get the signed Babe Ruth if its opened. Then again a lot of times the guy doing the break is a dealer and if a big card is pulled the "owner" just tells the dealer to sell it and send him the money. In magic it just a smaller scale unless he gets a Beta box. I like the idea of going R/U and C/M gives every one a decent chance at a good card. And for 10-13$ isn't a lot out of pocket. It think you also may draw more people if it Russian or Korean boxes (the gamblers stuff)
