My timeline follows most everyone else. I started around Fallen Empires in High School and stopped around Urza's Saga/Legacy when I went to college. I stopped in for an Apocalypse pre-release because somebody mentioned that the Fungal Shambler would be in Sanskrit but that was the extent of it. Cashed out pretty nicely to pay for school, rent, and a PS2 and a nice TV.Tried to get back in with a couple FNMs a few years back but took a pretty janky mono-B deck and went 0-3 to Affinity, Affinity, and yep...Affinity. Didn't want to buy in at that point so I sadly missed out on Ravnica and most of Time Spiral block. Moved to Milwaukee and the easiest way to meet a few people was to pick it up again. Went to the Lorwyn Pre-release and have been back in since. Starting to fade out again as life is happening but we'll see if I actually cash out.

Sold out a couple times and took some time off during Ravnica block but haven't technically quit at any point since I was paying attention to what was going, just not playing. Usually when I get bored I just go on hiatus instead of quit since most of my friends play and I can just hang out with them regardless of whether I want to play or not. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 80th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

LOL. Started with 5th edition. Quit with Stronghold (yes, just missed Saga block ), as my playgroup dissolved. It took me until about 8th edition to be convinced that white bordered cards < black bordered ones. Got back with Apocalypse. Played ever since, though mostly Legacy now. Family life is eating up my time and am trying to sell most of my collection.

Started spring of 1994 and played until I went to college (97). Had a five year break until about 2002 when I got back in with Judgment. I spent the next ten years playing pretty heavily and doing the whole tournament scene. I'm on the down swing right now though. It's hard to keep up with the game when you have a wife, kid, house, job, etc. I'm slowly moving back to playing only EDH because I don't have time to hit weekend Legacy events anymore. At least with EDH I can keep decks together and not worry about them going out of date. It's still fun to read strategy and watch PT/SCG coverage, but I just have to keep telling myself it's pointless to buy cards for a deck I have time to play with maybe once a month. I'm pretty sure I will always own cards. I've played too long to ever sell out totally. I just don't have the time now to dedicate a whole day to traveling/playing in big events. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Started with FE/Revised in 94...Kept on playing everything (T1 - T2) until Urza's Destiny...What drove me off was foils, too many new cards (P3K, Starter, 6th Edition, MM and the Urza's was just horrible) and the competitive crowd got on my nerves.Sold everything (thousands of signed cards / Beta - Urza's Destiny (complete NM sets)) Stopped for 10 years until Lorwyn / Morningtide. Fell in love again and bought everything again but better just keep on collecting, host cube sessions at my house and go to FNM from time to time... __________________ Collecting signed cards. PM me...Total signed cards: >30'000 my stuff my nearly complete signed sets

I started playing during Onslaught block. I moved to MTGO almost exclusively during Mirrodin block.I'm extremely obsessed with foils, even online, and around the time of Time Spiral's release, I realized that real life needed to come first so I sold out my entire online collection, left 1,000 tickets on my account and sold all the rest for PayPal. Primeval Titan got me back into it. I saw the card and absolutely fell in love. My financial situation had improved drastically so I got back into it (MTGO) and am just as obsessed with the shiny cards as ever... Except now, I can afford it :-D Currently in the (slow) process of selling all of my paper cards and porting it all over to MTGO.

personally I start playing in 1994-1995 in college here in Switzerland ... was around 14 at that time ... REVISED was the THING !!! and even at that time ... FBB were crazy difficult to get and rares... it was already the FWB Revised edition period then played trough 4th ed, Ice Age, Renaissance, Chronicles editions then slowly quit during Homelands, Alliances and Mirage & Visions were the 2 last editions I did remember the name ...THEN STOP COMPLETLY when I was 16 and turned to the music hobbies and played Guitar then Drums... had rock bands ... well you know life when your a 16 y/o guy ;-) Just came back in MTG Last year 2011 ... but only for collection purpose now as I dont have much time to play... but collecting is fun like wow ... I whish I have all the memories in pictures 'cause you would see me play in my college alleys on the ground ...... lol ... thats was all crazy good moments !!! epic period

I first started around fallen empires/ice age would spend a lot of money up to the end of the ravinca/guildpact era.Restarted around Zendikar when the gaming store i goto was doing league play over the weekend. They have since quit the idea for the most part i believe. Now i dont spend alot just concentrate on decks and to check out the new expansions and thats it basically

I started around apocalypse. Played casually almost every night because I had no way to get to the card shop on Fridays. I started playing standard hardcore during lowyn. At this time standard wasn't my main passion it was collecting promos and judge foils (had a play set of every judge foil and promo I loved at the time.) all my friends pretty much quit and I was in school so I sold em all. Then about a year later we tried picking it up again but it fell short do to everyones busy schedule. We ended up going our separate ways and I moved about 4000 miles away to Canada. I brought what cards I had and got into standard again.Played standard hardcore until I found out about edh. Now with my schedule that's all I have time for. Plus the people that play standard here are a bunch of whiney girls. All I focus on is what edh deck I wanna build next and currently pimping out the ones I have. I have also been religiously collecting foil planeswalkers. I now have a copy of each foil walker and also a copy of everything promo and duel deck.

I knew someone who was offered a car for a playset of Drains.
