I like these cards and they seem powerful but are apparently outclassed.Artifacts Empyrial Plate/Manriki Gusari White Abolish/Land Tax Green Rendering Vines/Berserk Red "More burn lists that win." Blue Commandeer/Illusionary Terrain Black Royal Assassin/Phyrexian Obliterator For some reason it took me a minute to think of two black cards that are good but don't make the tournament scene. What cards do you like that don't make the A list.

Accumulated Knowledge and Fact or FictionIt's kind of sad to see that these once-powerful draw engines are now totally outclassed.

Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas. The card is bonkers, but no one's found the right deck for him yet.

Some of the cards chosen are used in tournaments.Manriku Gusar - This card was in many SB's when Stoneblade was the number 1 deck to beat, which was only a year ago. Its still a tier 1 deck but since Stoneblade is almost the only deck that uses Stoneforge Mystic many people took it out. Land Tax - This card has been added to the new Miracle control deck, which has been getting top 8 at multiple SCG events. Red - Burn is a tier 1 deck. Its like dredge, when people forget about it, it wins. It's just easy to hate out. Fact or Fiction - this is played in Blue Nic Fit which is played in tournaments just happen been successful enough to top 8 yet. Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas - UB Tezz Control made top 16 I think at a SCG event a few months ago. Also some affinity lists use this card. I watched an MTGO modern event last week and Affinity with Tezzeret won 1st.

I don't know if it really should be on this list but one of my favorite cards (and always seems to have good results) isGuiltfeeder I also vote for Phyrexian Obliterator, but it was already mentioned

you're joking right? it's like tier 3 in standard, seems like the same in modern.. and legacy.. it's the worse combo deck.. you have no deck manipulation, no.. "1 turn, go off, kills".. burn's never really a tier 1.. © __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger

Manriki-Gusari- People quickly dropped it when they realized how narrow and gimmicky it was. Land Tax- It's seen play in some UW Miracle Decks, but the multiple Top 8's you are referring to probably are non Land Tax decks. Burn- Winning randomly once in a while doesn't mean it's Tier 1. Tezz actually sees some marginal, non gimmicky play though.

Burn won two Legacy SCG opens earlier this year, with a few more top 8s as well. It isn't always the best metagame choice, but in the right field, it can be a good call.quote: Originally posted by coolio: you're joking right? it's like tier 3 in standard, seems like the same in modern.. and legacy.. it's the worse combo deck.. you have no deck manipulation, no.. random win doesnt make it tier 1 © __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger

Sinkhole. As efficient as it is, with Hymn and Bob, there's no room for another double black 2-drop. It's a shame really.Agreed on Mr. Teeth. I miss him and Tradewind Rider.

WellThoughtpicker Witch Deadeye Navigator Hull Breach Cream of the Crop Of course, these go nuts for me in EDH, but that doesn't mean any of them are competitive.

He's only been out for 3 months. I think he'll definitely be relevant at one point or another. There's a guy at my local LGS who goes nuts with Navigator and either Conscripts, Thragtusk, or Acidic Slime. If I weren't playing delver, it might be hard to beat. As for my list; Puresteel Paladin Kozilek, Butcher of Truth (always overshadowed by his big brothers) Chandra, the Firebrand

Are you saying I should own more than 25 of them? His ability is no doubt awesome, but I feel like the cost is what'll prevent him from making the cut. Although with titans and Wurmcoil heading out, maybe.

A lot of really cool cards that aren't quite up to snuff, see good use in alternative formats. At least, that's where I use Molten-tail Masticore. That guy is so cool.

His biggest drawback was the fact that he was an artifact creature. otherwise he would have been a house.

Reckless abandonR, Sac a creature: Does 4 damage to a creature or player. Ran these in my buddies zoo deck a couple of years ago and people were like "what?" but it got him to the semi-finals in a ptq or gpt. It was fun to watch. I could go on, but not really thinking about this right now so that's it. .02, Jesse __________________ "call the hospital now" "I'm gonna kill you" inspiring words from Mino Fazio
