I'm in need of 4 x Bonfires, and with my pretty decent HW list posted, I haven't gotten a single offer or reply from people I've PM and posted on their hw list. I know it's a good card, but I have lots of equally good cards. And if you have them in your H list, why not trade them for something on your W list? I've even been willing to trade up a bit, but. Still not one reply... Very frustrating. -.-__________________ 1. siml send is the preferred method for trading/sending, but I'm new to the site and will send first if you have a good bit of references. 2. all cards are nm/m i expect the same. 3. make intial offer and we'll take it from there, I try to respond to everyone if not don't take it personally,

Everyone's holding onto the memory of $35+ bonfires, and they don't want to trade them at a reduced value when they think that they could spike again.

What price guide are you using? If you are trying to trade 25.00 by SCG for them, it's going to be tough. If you are offering 24-25 by the MOTL Guide, you should find someone.

I'm using SCG pricing, but offering up to a $5 bump if I can get 4.. So $20 above all together. I think that pretty fair. I also think 2 Thragtusk for 2 Bonfires is pretty fair as well.. Is that not reasonable?

i keep getting offers offers of entreats for bonfires, but I would much prefer the bonfires. Also I would much rather have bonfires than thragtusks. Obviously that is just my opinion, but that is why I am "hoarding" them.

I'd trade Thragtusks for Bonfires all day long. Thragtusk is 16-17, Bonfire is 24-25. Try using Ebay/Motl Price Guide.

I would suggest selling cards you aren't using and just buy them. Cash will get you what you want.Bonfire ~21 Cavern of Souls x 2 ~16 Steam Vents x 1 ~7 Sprinx's Revelation x 1 ~14 Angel of Serenity x 1 ~15 Thragtusk x 2 ~17

The problem is finding people to buy without chiselling you for free post or a deep discount.

as you've probably figured out, US traders (which make up a signficant portion of the site) avoid international trades like the devil. I've become open about intl trades, but you'll find with high value trades, its still harder to get a US trader to bite.sell stuff at a 10% discount from market value and buy bonfires. its so much smoother and you'll end up down about the same amount as if you had offered $5 extra per bonfire.

Or just buy on eBay. The end price is about the same, you might have to pay a few more dollars of shipping, but then again you don't have to waive liability.

First, price guides are called guide for a reason. Second, there are multiple factors of why certain people perceive a card to be worth more than they actually currently are. In the case of Bonfire, it could be either price memory, or the fact that Boros and Gruul are coming out in Gatecrash, further increasing aggro presence in the metagame, which will increase Bonfire's playability, and its price. As always, my advice to people that want something really bad but don't want to give up too much is to sell their cards and then buy what they want on Ebay. Surely you can find a cheap auction or 2.

I was just wondering why a fair number of people seem to be picking bonfires up at 20 plus. Speculation that gruul and boros would be good?
