Just as the subject says. Looking to get one for a buddy for Xmas (I know, kinda late, but needed to acquire some extra funds and they didn't get in till now). Anyone know of someone with a sealed box they can let go ~$80 shipped?

Just make a thread in the buying section, see if you get any hits.

If there's local tournaments around giving out box(es) for prizes, you can always ask the winner(s). Some spikes will gladly take cash over a box.

doesn't sound too reasonable of a price tho. Retailers get boxes in the $72-74 range iirc plus they pay shipping. Now add shipping to you on top of that, sounds like a break even or a loss. Troll ebay and hope to get a $90 shipped box and count yourself lucky imo. $95 is more realistic tho.

$95 is all day on eBay. Idk what boxes cost as I've been outta the game since 5th dawn and at that time, boxes WERE 75-80 all day.

Judges at GPs they often get boxes as compensation and would likely be willing to let them go for a little cheaper.

What is a typical judge payout? 3 boxes? That's about what it would seem like would be reasonable to get someone to work 2 12+ hour days on a weekend...

Depends on your level. You get a judge foil pack as well which could be worth hundreds. The higher level you are the more foils you get

1 a day. Or 1.5 if your L3 or higher, plus foils is the general pay out. There tends to be extras stuff too. Seal event they tend to give you a few stamped draft sets. San jose they gave out an extra box since the turn out ended up being so high. and yes buying them off judges is a good way to go. They tend to sell them for $80 or so when they sell them. They were $100 at San Jose but the set just came out and demand was very high (and dealers can't sell sealed product at Grand Prixs)
