I got a full refund without having to return, but my card was under $2. I Think it's reasonable for them to ask for a return (at their expense) on more expensive stuff.

Their foil grading has always been atrocious. They pretty much mark any foil NM in their store. I stopped buying from them for pretty much anything other than new release stuff at this point, simply because there's less chance of played junk showing up when I ordered NM. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I've ordered nm cards from them and they came moderately played. It's a terrible place to buy from unless you are buying random hank for a pauper deck or anything of that value.

made the mistake of ordering from T&T again this month. in the comments field i said 'please ship this better than last time i bought a foil' . bought a foil and some non foil this time. same as always. no penny sleeve on foil or anything. just jammed in their shoddy white envelope. ffs

Troll and Toad went to crap when they moved to Kentucky. I don't know how they stay in business as-is.__________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonSale Thread

I've had good experiencing buying sealed product from coolstufinc but bought singles for the first time this month. They were sold as NM but were all SP with even at least 1 being MP. Very unfortunate. I've emailed them to see if they will do anything for me but warning to everyone don't buy singles from them expecting cards to be as good condition as buying from scg

Saving 5 cents on shipping a near mint card? If less than 1 in 100 orders is ruined in a sorting machine and no one starts a thread about how bad your shipping practices are, I guess that makes sense...

I wonder if they realize how much business they are losing by saving a few cents on each order by not using sleeves and toploaders. Apparently they don't.

Just got this response from CoolstuffInc:I sent them this with a picture of the cards: "Hi. I received my order this weekend but was very disappointed in the condition of my singles. None were NM and some weren't even SP but MP condition. I've never had problems before but I've typically only bought sealed product from you online and purchased singles at large events. I'm disappointed by this and shouldn't be charged NM for played cards :-|" They responded with: "Hello, Thank you for ordering with us. You are welcome to send any items back to us at: Coolstuffinc.com 8550 South US HWY 17-92 Maitland, FL 32751 Be sure to write "RMA" and your order number on the return package. (i.e. Shrink-wrap intact, sealed booster packs, etc.) • You are responsible for shipping costs • We recommend that you insure your shipment. You will not be reimbursed for an item that CoolStuffInc.com does not receive I apologize for any confusion and/or inconvenience this may have caused. I just won't order from them any longer. I suggest you don't buy singles from them either. Sigh. i made this reddit thread to discuss https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/3yjq3t/different_condition_defin itions_by_site_prompted/

Definitely agree with you on the SCG bit.I sent them a FTV from the box and it was graded as SP by them. Their buylist grading can be inconsistent.

Just curious, if the cards really fall short on condition, why not send them back, its 3$ but you get a full refund. I've ordered some played duals and sent a few back that were creased with no problems (I can do edgewear but the shuffle creasing is a bit much). The price was pretty good so I was ok taking a gamble, it paid off on a few but not the others.

the singles i bought include 4 grim lavamancer judge foil 1 lifelace (rev) and all their foil/non foil obstinate familiar so with the exception of the Lavamancers the cards are so cheap i don't want to deal with the few bucks to ship them back. that being said, the fact that they wouldn't offer to refund like 10% off of said cheap cards which wouldn't cost them much anyway, especially if as store credit, annoys me a lot considering how the cards arrived vs listed as NM so instead I'll just not buy from them any longer.

Expecting a customer to pay to return your mistakes is bad business and should result in less business.

Doesn't shuffle creasing fall within the condition you ordered? I mean, its not really gambling if you just return the ones that aren't as good/better than what you were expecting, right?

i ordered NM copies for all cards i ordered. if any company is tried to pass off shuffle creased cards as NM then players shouldn't buy from them

This is why i only deal with tcgplayer and ebay now. Yes, sellers can be inconsistent with their grading, but when customer service is managed by a third party, people behave.

This either they should pay the difference or offer some type of compensation for the condition issues, or preferably give you the choice between the two.

Yes and no, this also opens up abuse by buyers.

Yeah, it probably sucks for sellers but i couldn't care less about what other buyers are doing.

Sort of yea, they unfortunately only have two conditions nm and played, the prices are pretty solid to lp but for mp or damaged are a bit high.
