Went 2-2. Opened Obzedat (yaaaay!) in my guild pack, another treasury thrull, soul ransom, assemble the legion, rubblehulk, and borborygmos enraged as rares. Rest of my pool was pretty much average, but the high points (two sun home guildmages! Four hands of binding! And so on) were too diverse to support a really stellar deck, and I had very little fixing. My buddy had planned on running which ever guild was chosen the least, which turned out to be gruul, and opened a second rubble hulk, his own borborygmos, and a rubble belt raiders. Running pure gruul he went 3-1. We swapped cards afterwards (my gruul stuffs for his orzhov stuffs) and I walked away with a godless shrine, some more extorters, some keyrunes, and a sengir autocrat, which is about as orzhovy as it gets, in exchange for my soul ransom.Pretty good day overall. Got to yell "BORBORYGMOS THROWS A TREE AT YOU" to someone, got to (twice) announce "I WIN THE HANDS OF BINDING WAR" to people by casting a second one after they cast one on the creature which I had encoded my first copy to. Never got to play obzedat, unfortunately. Oh well, there's always edh.

Bugger I feel like you had your own list of goals to achieve that somehow got placed in your guild pack and nobody else's. You must have gotten through at least half of the yell things at someone challenges.

went 2-3 with straight Orzhov. BW Wrath won me 1 game. Got steam rolled 2 of my loses. Played a lot of mirror matches *sigh. Simic crushed me. Got the RW Legend angel in the consolation pack so cool. My friend got the BU Legend but she played RW and went 1-4.Fun time all around. Went to a place I have never been to before. Place was clean and the people are nice. I think the best part of the whole day is that after today, we both are going to go give draft a go on, hopefully, a weekly basis.

My goal for the day was to have fun and leave the building with a copy of obzedat. I accomplished both Another fun fact: after going 0-2, I scrapped my esper build and made a naya one to use borborygmos and my assemble the legion and rubblehulk, and titled the deck (which still had my white orzhov cards in it) "outside contracting".

Literally can't pull anything good in my packs. Of course someone comes around and shows me a foil Watery Grave and normal Aurelia's Fury that she pulled in the same pack...And then trades the Fury to someone else after telling me she'd trade it to me later. 4-1 with Boros. Round 5 was stupid. Won game one due to opponent getting mana screwed. Lost game two due to getting mana screwed. Lost game three after securing the board and having a nice life lead... to Obzedat. Four Bomber Corps and three Skyknight Legionnaires in the same deck isn't bad. Had fun though, which is about half the reason I went there. The other half was to pick up cards I needed or to at least pull stuff that other people needed so I can trade. Didn't accomplish any of that. At least all the stores here are doing draft FNMs this week so it's not going to matter that I'm missing half the lands I need, since I'll have another week to get them. hooray.

Went Boros both times, opened two Spark Trooper both times. In the second one in my 5 packs I opened Spark Trooper, Frontline Medic, Spark Trooper, Rubblebelt Raiders and a Boros Reckoner in my Guild Pack. Had 3 Skynight Legionnaire, 2 Bomber Corp, 2 Wojek Halberdiers, 2 Daring Skyjek, 2 Madcap Skills, Fortress Cyclops, Boros Charm, Massive Raid. It felt so unfair. Favorite play: Spark Trooper, attack in for 6. Then, Pit Fight it with his Rubblebelt Raiders. Favorite Sequence of events: A guy was playing against a younger kid, beat him pretty easily but was friendly and showed him a few tricks and tips along the way. After the match he bought him a pack of RTR as good will. The kid cracks it right there and pulls a Deathrite Shaman. He excitedly shows his dad who in turn buys the first guy a pack for being so kind. Cracks it to find...Conjured Currency...and Foil Deathrite Shaman.

Orzhov twice and was amazingly impressed with the extort mechanic...even though I opened terrible raresSecond deck had 9 extort guys so as long as I could stifle the aggressive Boros starts and move to mid-late game I won games I should never have. Generally half or more of the damage I dealt per game was extort. 4-1-1 and 4-0-1 (draws were final round both times)

Oh! Almost forgot! I also opened the best card of the set in foil: Totally Lost.

Went 4-2 and got a pack. I went Boros splashing green for Domri Rade; my pool had few good aggro creatures, but I won all the matches that I won 2-0 and lost the matches that I lost 1-2. The match that killed my break to top8 (match four) I got him to 1 while sitting pretty at 20, but he Mugged my last dude, swung with one dude, Rubblehulked, returned it to hand, and Rubblehulked again for exactsies. I raged a bit.
